Yep blue franken cubes will not bounce themselves ^^ I consider that as a glitch, but this is sometimes useful ;) Some puzzles in the workshop have been made around that and are really fun to play :p

Yep, I learned something new about light bridges, too. As always, you have produced another one of the most unique puzzles I've seen.

I noticed that you can get stuck behind the light bridge that releases the franken cube. You have to be pretty dumb, but it is possible.

I was also going to point out that there's no way to fix it if you accidentally gel your frankencube, but it appears that it doesn't matter. A gelled frankencube doesn't appear to bounce off walls, grating, or buttons. That's something else I didn't know before.

I like the elevator effect.

Great map. Scratched my head a while till I finally said WTH give it a try. I didn't know that about light bridges before. Delighted with the elevator. Rode it up again for the fun of it.

with reguard to the light bridge:
it might be deliberate. based on science:
it is a LIGHT bridge, a photonic device.
it does not have all the same properties as a solid object:
look at a rainbow &
mixing different colour paints, to make a new colour.
also, shine white light on grass & it reflects back as green.
light / photons are always moving.
like water, if you add something, say food colouring,
it does not just colour the surface ( 1 side ) of the water.

Well I don't really like the final timing needed to exit, but that's the easiest way I found to make it not so hard ^^" Because without the blinking bridge, reaching the exit is such a pain in the ass X)
And about the fact that light bridge are painted on both sides, I don't think this is a glitch, maybe only a lazy coded feature : too complicated to make it so that one side is painted and not the other probably ^^"

but not seeing another way.
& knowing you know glitches.
tried solution, & was amazed that it worked.
went up to exit a few times till it did work, though.
they say, timing is everything.

I know how to get to exit, but how can I cover the two light bridges with the bounding gel as one of the two always blocks the way to the other one ?

Well... if you look at portal bumping, that's a really serious glitch, and it's been around since the original Portal. I was surprised when I found out that it hadn't been removed from Portal 2. So if Valve won't fix that, then they probably won't fix a relatively minor one like this.

@jamie.sunderland : Well I noticed that, but I already consider that the fact that blue franken cubes are not bouncing themselves is a glitch that will probably be fixed someday... So I could make puzzles on them echanism you said (which is probably really interesting :p), but fear that they will no longer work after an update ^^"

When you jump on a blue Franken Cube, it makes you bounce. It pretty much becomes your own protable "jump pad". That could be a decent test element :)

Pros:
• Map is generally entertaining;
• Novel elaboration on engine mechanics;

Cons:
• Picking the wrong time to jump at the end;
• No water to cleanse a bouncy cube;

Yep, I know that ^^ Franken cubes are not affected by gels ;) I used this bug in my map Find the Glitch :p

I liked the elevator. Did you know that Franken Cubes don't bounce? After I entered the exit, I turned back around and went back in. I coated the cube with bounce gel and tried flinging it around. Nothing. Just an interesting thing I found out :)

there is no need to use the first elevator.. u can just portal up to the switch ^^ came here with #f4f, if u like, please test one of my maps

I'm not sure if I should close the glass here... You can go down the blinking light bridges by croutching, but you may think you are stuck if you don't have the idea to croutch ^^"

One in 20 jump I suppose.. I was lucky and got it on 3rd attempt i guess.. I had no idea paint stuck to light bridges btw.. i clearly have much to learn.

The expected way out is by placing blue gel on the vertical light bridges ;)

Great map - original use of light bridges. Not sure if I got out the right way though.. I had to get a really well judged jump in from an angle and hope my head didn't hit the last bridge.
