Well I save, but only when I see a potentially deadly zone, not when I fall in a normal area ^^" And I really don't like to reload manually, the quick save is only in case I die stupidly for me ;)

Yeah, there is absolutely no interest to cheat in order to finish the map without understanding anything to the puzzle X) When I said I use cheat when I'm "stuck", I mean litterally stuck because the map is badly designed and you are for exemple in a totally black pit without any way to exit XD

I played mevious's piston a while ago.
it beat me.
I just went back & beat it.
if I had used a cheat, I would have deprived myself of the satisfaction.
I just subscribed to the only 2 of his I havent done.
beat them or not, it will be me who will lose or win, not some cheat.

lol, you really had bad time with COD cheates as I can see ^^" Well I approuve the ability to use sv_cheats in all the maps... Mainly when you are stuck in someone else's map and want to clear the test anyway ;)

but potal should fix the glitches.
as on a non automated challenge, it encourages cheating.
which is bad for every one.
the map maker wasting hours of time.
the cheaters miss the whole point, & satisfaction of solving maps.
portal fans would then deminish.
lose, lose, lose.
as for sv_cheats 1 & all that follows.
it should only work while in map editor or after completing someones map at least once.
I stoped playing cod 2, because hackers were rampant.
cod 3 was good untill their 1st free weekend.
then hackers.

another great job.
I delibrately got on the faithplates.
kept moving mouse & alternating W-A-S-D
took a while, but eventualy got off the merry go round.

Optionnal challenge could be to grab the Companion Cube ;) But be careful not to walk on the faith plates : the jump chain is quasi impossible to break X)

Nice! It must've been a bit of work getting the timing down pat.

Pros:
• It's a Rube-Goldburg machine;
• Spiffy optional ability to replay the sequence;
• A turret will die ;

Cons:
• Boring to the soulless;
• The Companion Cube's a real tease here;

Map updated! I finally fixed the problem with the laser cube that sometimes got a weird angle ^^

During the playtest, I found and fixed 2 other potential fails : one with the red cube that sometimes roll too quickly to the funnel, and an other with the blue cube that could bounce and come back into the cube dropper , breaking all the machine X)

So now the infinite loop is really infinite! I tried it about 10 times and it worked perfectly ^^ If all of you could make it loop at least 3 times, I think we will found the last bugs remaining (if any :p)!

Pretty nice. I went for another loop and got stuck in the top orange funnel. I think one of your redirection cubes landed the wrong way. I was able to get it going again by hopping out, and triggering a laser manually, with the cube that was sitting on the ground.

it was when I was being lifted by an orange excursion funnel at the other end of the room. I think a reflection cube was facing the wrong way?

Awesome map, replayed it and got stuck though :/

Still awesome regardless.

I have a few random tests if you want to try, including a couple of really good rollercoaster maps, some warmup maps, and a few other random tests.
