If you're actually working on a new [COLORBOUND] mod, good luck!
It can't support custom races because that's not how Starbound was designed.
There's no central "pool" of colors that Starbound pulls from.
Each race has its own unique file that has all of the various colors (in #HEX code) for all of the various parts of the character sprite(s) for that specific race.
So, Apex have their own color information files; Avian have their own color information files; Floran have their own color information files; and so on.
No two races share the same colors (unless they're specifically coded to both have the same #HEX codes).
Custom races also need to have their own custom race color information files, and those are up to the creator(s) of those custom races to create.
They're free to come and steal code from COLORBOUND to help them to do that, of course, but I'm certainly not doing it.
1. Wow, people still use COLORBOUND? And it still works? Ha ha. What?
2. I haven't played Starbound since 2016, so any future packs are dependent on my interest in playing Starbound in the future. (Also, these packs take hours upon hours to make because everything is hex codes.)
3. Honestly, I thought that Starbound would have a palette / swatch / slider option like Terria has by now.
4. Clicking a million times is a pain in the butt (but you only have to do it once when you make a character).
5. You can use COLORBOUND in any mod or mod package you like if you're willing to put the effort in. You don't need to ask permission. Right there in the tl;dr Q&A. Just make sure you say "yo, I used COLORBOUND colors".
6. 20,000 subscribers! You guys are the real MVPs.
7. See you in 2020?(!)
Problem now is ...we lack proper menu to navigate all those.
what idk
Thank you! I would have loved to add separate colors for beaks, talons, and fluff. Unfortunately, the way Chucklefish has it set is that feathers, fluff, beak, and talon colors are ALL part of the same color choice, so they can't be separately colored - it all has to be one "package", which is a real shame.
honestly, thank you for this ^^ you're friggin amazing and super patient. respekt yoh. orsomething.
The unofficial name of the mod is [CLICKBOUND].
Thank you for this amazing mod. And I'm sorry a bunch of idiots gave you crap just for trying to give people more customization options. I did want a complete pack myself (just because there wasn't any theme pack I didn't like!), but I never wished to cause you any grief, nor did I want to see the individual packs removed from workship.
and if someone want em all, aslike me, he/she could simply subscride each. doesnt hurt anyone.
but well..
nevermind :)
youve done some good work for the SB community, i appreciate that.
