Nice

I just started reading the Honorverse books and I immediately knew that this was something I wanted to see in Stellaris. So I sought a mod, and I found a mod, and then it turns out the mod is five years out of date. :(

Please update

Hope for a update.

I hope this gets updated again, I liked it a lot and there is a lot that could be done with the treecats now that the psycher thing has advanced as much as it has.

pretty much wrecked, please fix it!

If you are still doing this mod, it looks like the 1.8 update pretty well wrecked it.

How's the treecat population growth coming along? XD

@Ranma
Manticore B was always in the files but this mod was used in CaydenX's total conversion and he had it spawning in a fixed place. Including code which assigned a random nearby system to also be Manticore B would have mucked things around. I don't think that mod isn't being updated anymore though so...

Colonize 2b? Probably not without other mods which boost habitability in some way. I think I added that as extra flavour rather than just throw in another unhabitable planet.

I just tried this mod again after a while. Nice to see that you added Manticore B. Just a question. Is there any way to colonize the second planet in that system? It has 2 planet modifiers that give it about minus sixty to hababiity.

Here's a thought (feel free to ignore): I wouldn't have treecats as their own species - I think it doesn't fit with the world. What would work however, is if you added the treecats as a promotion (only for Manticorans?). You could actually have several: treecat-adopted scientist, treat-adopted admiral etc etc all with repective bonuses for each leader class.

I'll look into it. Its their long lifespans I think which do it.
Roadrunner 3 Nov, 2016 @ 12:17pm
Your treecats are still growing like wildfire. Outgrowing my colonists easily... On the one hand, its nice to see those 'cats prosper, on the other hand, its a bit ridicilous. Anything you could do about it? Maybe a special trait only for them reducing growthrate?

Paradox messed with the code in 1.3 so that if I want to add new things without making a mess with a new category each time then I have to update every mod which contributes to my custom category each time - which includes the Treecats in this mod :steamfacepalm:.

It isn't possible to add to categories in a way that doesn't override - i.e. doing so to the default categories then at the least makes mods incompatible with other people's species. So yeah, working on a new (not Honorverse) portrait pack.

I'm going to get around to giving this system a few spots of paints soon-ish, as I said.

As far as CaydenX's mod? I'm only a contributor ofc. I think he's stopped work on it. Beyond that I know nothing. Sorry :/

Great to see you're still updating this small mods. Do you know anything about the progress of the "main" Honorverse mod?
Death of Rats  [author] 29 Oct, 2016 @ 5:59am
Thanks for the feedback :)
This is due for a little revamp now that I've worked out how to make custom colonizable asteroids. Might cut down on the number of them a little too, since there are too many I think. People have commented on this.
I'll follow your advice at the same time as excessive anomalies can be annoying :)
TexStarshine 28 Oct, 2016 @ 3:14pm
Any chance for a version of this with less anomalies, so taht we can start there fresh with our own star kingdom?
jtdthird 9 Oct, 2016 @ 1:53pm
Im a huge Honor fan, I looked for everything for the Honorverse lol
Death of Rats  [author] 5 Oct, 2016 @ 5:47pm
@jtdthird Don't miss out on the Manticorans species for a proper experience :D:!

Anything with a Honor Harington theme has to be worth a try!
Death of Rats  [author] 30 Sep, 2016 @ 2:52am
That is hilarious. Can't do anything about it I'm afraid. If there is a way to remove a portrait set from the pool, I don't know it... yet.
ranma100 29 Sep, 2016 @ 8:31pm
It seems like Treecats are everywhere with this mod. I even had a Treecat fallen empire, which is kind of starnge.
Pheasant-One 19 Sep, 2016 @ 11:41am
This mod makes my game crash in the city appearance and ship selection tab. Not really sure why otherwise. All your other system mods work fine.
Death of Rats  [author] 10 Sep, 2016 @ 10:47pm
Thanks for the feedback. I'll do that thing.
ranma100 10 Sep, 2016 @ 10:45pm
You might want to make the Treecat icon a little larger. I can hardly tell that they are there.
Death of Rats  [author] 10 Sep, 2016 @ 3:21am
Or maybe it isn't :KScared:
Death of Rats  [author] 9 Sep, 2016 @ 4:42am
Fixed.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT; The Manticore B component is in the files for this but it isn't set to spawn because this mod also acts a component of the Star Nations at War conversion mod which spawns that in a fixed position;
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=755421777
It is a necessary expedient unfortunately, but the A component makes a damn good start system on its lonesome. I'll be on a lookout for a way to remedy this, of course.
