Nice work (not buggy hair edition :D) Great looking char and her other form :D

i love this character because of it's similarities to sonice(sonic but that mod name was taken so sonic nice). i love fast characters and so i will mainly play this to explore EVERYWHERE

how i transform at first char with this mod?

Could her slow form just make her immune to extreme temperatures, and the health regen be removed? But to balance the nerf, her speed could be adjusted to where she can walk normal speed with a walking cane.

Caitlin is high risk high reward, so right now I have no balance changes in mind, but if I do balance her I would make it adjustable in the options so people could play the version they want. But nothing to anounce at the moment because I'm happy with her.
@alice if its shadow monsters its your sanity, if its her shadow minions then thats a bug.

I've noticed I actually spawn hallucinations from simply switching forms. Is this normal?

I'd say that Caitlin is very fun. That's all that really matters to me. She is pretty balanced because i fail miserably often :P

oh and bug: her shadow monsters dont attack enemies (even when caitlin is attacking) unless she's in attack form

yeah, i agree wif yellow angel, but the way my friend plays her, he basically spams her change form ability (basically negating all her downsides) ,since we have tons of dragonpie; and low sanity is good, so he doesn't care about that. one way of balancing this is maybe instead of simply losing health and sanity, decrease her max health by 10% each time she changes instead, that would mean stockpiling booster shots, which is a nuisance to craft, and uses one extra inventory slot, which is like 6.66% of your inventory.

But I may look into the speed form as it might just be too powerful compared to some of the other characters. Not working on anything at the moment though :)

I may balance the speed form in the future, as its in my opinion her best form and could be a bit too powerful. Her biggest balance though is her sanity, not only is her sanity quite small she looses it faster then other characters, along with that changing between forms comes at a high cost and it can be difficult to change between forms rapidly without accidently killing yourself. But as yellow angel said each form, also has its downsides and weaknesses.

any chance of you revamping this mod? my friend played her, but she feels too op, i have some good ideas on balancing her.

Of course! If its too anoying for you, You can always download the minimap mod, as that will stay up even when in speed form. Just an fyi

I think it's a bug, but correct me if im wrong, every time I switch to the fast form, my map disappears.. Is that normal?

@Drunix Because the original auther had it as a balance out for the insanse movement speed you get in speed form. Speed form is actually your insanity form, and turning into a monster of the night. Because of your high insanity you don't even know where you are, at least thats the theme of it

@Druinix you should be able to open your map in all forms except for the speed form. If thats not the case then it is a bug

No problem! Life, fun, hobby, and work do not mix. High school is already busy enough for me, I couldn't imagine how much more weight a job adds.

Don't Starve Together can still give a singleplayer experience so it was a very smart choice to make it work on DST.

I am just thankful you went through the trouble to make a fix.

I'm glad you enjoy the mod! Because the single-player (mainly shipwrecked) requires a lot of extra additions including more animations and more sprite assets I will not be creating a fix for the single player one sorry. :( I just don't play the single player version of don't starve, and my job gets in the way as well.

I hope the dude in charge of this will fix the Caitlin mod for single player too.

You bet! Caitlin is my go-to girl for any good game of Don't Starve Together, not only for her amazing power, but she is so adorable! She even has some lore in her dialogue for goodness sake! Who could say no to that?

Okay, so I found that in the server I was running I had pvp off. I fought a bunch of pengulls, and only the first attack did quad damage. I'm not sure why. I hope you can fix it with your coding magic :P

do you have pvp turned on, the damage will get reduced when that is turned on. If not I'll take a look. I don't have the same issues in my online games

Yes, quad damage only happens one time when you transform. Strangely, it seems to work fine on an offline server...

what do you mean, like only once then it does normal damage? that would be abnormal

The Doctored Mask seems to do quad damage only once when you transform. Is this normal?

Thanks so much, just did some bug testing and you even fixed the hair dissapearence! Really appriciate a good bug fix for a very interesting character concept! Now about the only thing that'd be better is a config menu to alter some of the stats her forms bring, cuz we can all agreee they get a little OP sometimes lol
