Wow... I think there must be 3-4 ways people solved this. I feel like I did it more simply, though. Portals to push the cube to the ceiling. Move one portal to the wall near the ceiling and let it fall through. Very quickly put the floor portal to the funnel and it catches the cube before it falls. Let it ride over and just walk through the fizzlers to close the portals and let it drop.

Reading these, I feel like I did it the wrong way. I placed at the top of the wall and an orange portal on the lowest part of the wall. I put the cube halway through the portal and walked into it as I shot an orange portal at the end of the funnel.

Took all of 1 minute, but I did use this trick in one of my own chambers. As such I think it's a brilliant idea! :D In all seriousness, I do like it if a puzzle makes you do something you didn't need in the official puzzles.

I don't know if this is the intended solution or not, but you can place a portal on the white floor, and the other on the tractor beam, put the cube in the beam coming out of the floor portal, wait until it gets to the roof, then let it drop, place a portal on the white wall paralell to the tractor beam, then place the tractor beam on the wall that faces the emancipation grill. You can then "catch" the cube and get it over the grill .
I have a feeling thats what you're meant to do but I'm not sure.

I don't know if this is the intended solution or not, but you can place a portal to get the funnel, then another one at that white on the floor near the funnel area. Ride it up with the cube, then edge over to the grate, and you can slip the cube in the beam. Simply place the portal in the appropriate spot to have that cube flying over the fizzlers. If this is intended solution, that's what the spoiler taks are for. If it isn't, well, it's a bug to be fixed.

Its a good test, I just think the difficulty of getting the cube right would put some people off.

Well, the way I did it was a bit tricky, but I think this was the expected solution ^^
Place orange portal at the end of the funnel. Place blue portal on the floor. Go in the funnel with the cube. When you are at the ceiling, place blue portal on the wall so that you stay in the funnel. When you are behind the funnel generator, put the cube in it by moving it under the grid. Place blue portal on any square of the wall adjascent to the ceiling ^^

Yes, very simple, but after the completeing two other maps with no critcal thought involved this was refreshing.
