think it would be possiable to bring back the wacky mob powers of old?
I can't express my hatred of the touch damage thing....

The mobs were able to chomp and bite us just fine.

I mostly hate it because it feels just plain lazy..........a plant thing that spits acid walks into you....you die from the touch........ughhh

OK I am about to make an update public that might reset the legacy food collection's progress... Luckily the collection is built to where if you pick up the food items it will add it so it wouldn't be hard to get progress back. Also the Custom Collections UI mod will be required for it to work.

Of course the actual spawning rates for materials would be affected by having both.
And some items may have supplemental data that FU needs so I suppose you could simply add it(would be ignored by the base game) if so.

I suppose everything is a little simpler before you attempt it(if you do, that is).

To the degree that you might be adding things FU added, I think you'd be okay as long as both you and FU have the same path and name. One would over-write the other(depending upon load order). But if something of the same name already exists on a different path, you'll get a crash.

Some notes
Materials in common MUST have the same materialID
Preferably the other data would be the same(for example price).
Adding an object that's scripted is tricky, better to give them a unique name like "Bconlon_voliumDoor"

Also I was thinking of adding a few of these things myself, because I was reviving Hull Plating Blocks(big mod) and some of it is needed by the old mod.

(Replying to Forcedminer) I read that it is supposedly hard-coded into the game, but I don't know for sure if that is true at the moment, considering there are some inventory edit mods, but just arrangement changes.

(Replying to Morggy alias Mac the penguin) I meant unsubscribe from this mod, almost everything in this mod you can also obtain in Frackin, the only thing I think isn't in Frackin are the old foods from the game's early release, which have their own mod which I linked in the description.

I acutally feel like the older one was miles better with the only con being you can only dual-weild one or two setups.

I will split this mod off into a couple more mods eventually, but for now I am focusing on Legacy Foods, which needs a few things finished up.

It isn't compatible with Frackin Universe because pretty much all stuff in here you can get in Frackin, however I don't think you can get the old foods in Frackin, but I have a sub-mod for that so if you want the foods and Frackin then just subscribe to that. Because some of the features are the same, like the old fuels, they would just have a code conflict (or you would have two seperate plutoniums and uraniums).

Added treasurepools to make ham and flesh lumps accessible from killing monsters and hunting.

i really really wish i could restore the old toolbar. :/

you used to be able to instruments though everything....sitting,teleporting,sleeping,driving a car/boat even in fall form!

now with this toolbar it stops the moment you do anything besides walking around......

such a shame for them to work on getting that in then make it really hard to enjoy..

FYI i enjoyed the Legacy stuff as well so i restored all the old racial weapons.
it was painful but worth it.

I am no expert modder, I can barely add a treasurepool (Though I think the only problem I am having at making one at the moment is I made a typo...), I am adding what is simple at the moment and hopefully that trains me enough to work on some bigger things.

Problem is, the other mod you're referring to just make a copy of the Distortion Sphere that costs energy over time - no bombs included. But I get what you mean, so good luck with your further endeavors elsewhere.

I probably won't attempt to work on the techs considering there is a mod that already does that, I am going to change my focus now to adding stuff people haven't made yet (anything I have worked on that has been made already is staying in though for obvious reasons)

I'm planning on rigging up a system to ad the bombs from the old Distortion Sphere to a new tech of my own, so I'll drop by and help you figure that out once I've gotten it working if you plan on adding it.

Added a mod just for the legacy foods, I will finish all that (like actually adding the treasurepools for some of the meat drops) then work on the next branch which will probably be the fuels. This should help for some compatibility, and should make some things a bit simpler. (The sub mod will obviously not be compatible with this because of conflicting files)

Ok nevermind I'm just going to work on crafting recipes for some cool wiring stuff
