try and watch *real footage* of soldiers marching. raise the arms a little higher, the steps almost seem robotic, not all marches are robotic
but thats me. this could be smoother and it'd be good!
On a more serious note, the animation is too rigid and the concept is very bland. Have him do more goofy shit like walking with a grenade/rocket in his hand and when he salutes it explodes. Have him trip during a random part of the walk cycle. Demoman's version of this taunt (Scotsmann's Stagger) manages to do this while capturing Demo's personality. Have him just guess what an actual soldier would do because canonically he is not a soldier.

I suggest making the helmet jiggle more. Also, give it some more "cartoon bounce," as Soldier feels much too robotic, especially for goofy, 60's cartoon styled TF2. Like put some bend in the arms, the legs, don't be afraid to over exaggerate a little bit. Also marching doesn't work like that, with moving the left arm with the left foot and all that. When you move one foot, you move the opposite side arm; left foot forward right arm forward, right foot forward left arm forward. Even in marching, it's like that.
Guess he's the best marcher and patriot after all...
Nice work, would like to see it in real action. Moving taunts are nice :)
Will it stop immediately if you get hit or will the Soldier keep on marching? How quickly could he whipout his weapon if someone was going to blow him up?
Too robotic. I use to be on one of the best ROTC drill teams in Florida back in highschool. His arms are not swinging to the opposite step (you know, how normal people walk?) and he doesn't bend his knees enough.
Edit: I hope that it wasn't intentional and I just made a fool of myself :P
