Lumina is the same as using Relight and Shadow Strength Adjuster
Nyoko 7 Jul, 2023 @ 4:51pm
That’s harsh. Shadow strength adjuster and relight are outdated. Use Lumina to ensure a stable gameplay or Render It
Verssetti 7 Jul, 2023 @ 4:09pm
Lumina... Render it.... "ALL IN ONE" mods that makes your game feel like indies. I JUST WANT TO ADJUST SHADOW!
Nyoko 2 Jul, 2023 @ 7:10am
Functionality included in Lumina/Render It
bvnsheechvpter 3 Jun, 2023 @ 3:01pm
Walked so Render It could run. Thank you for your service <3
franzeusq 31 Mar, 2023 @ 6:41pm
render it es cancer
Sairento 30 Mar, 2023 @ 10:25am
This, Eyecandy and Relight still work perfectly fine for me, for now.

RenderIt is a newer alternative.
yao_zhou 14 Dec, 2022 @ 8:32pm
Use the successor: Render it!
gardenstater 11 Dec, 2022 @ 10:03pm
@vackillers I don't think it does.

It works fine for me. Players should know this functionality is included in Render-It as well.
vackillers 15 Nov, 2022 @ 7:59pm
This needs updating for the latest game update
Gibsonn 17 Sep, 2022 @ 12:40pm
still compable?
snowflitzer 15 Feb, 2022 @ 10:38pm
Render-It does include this

what's the default value in vanilla game without this mod? is it min, max or something between?

Fantastic mod! thank you so much and amazing job!

Six and a half months later?!
Car Fan Arne 13 Oct, 2020 @ 5:43am
@Lucas Lerigou Its even written down in the description. Its working correctly and saves and loads the values but the slider is resetting. I hope there will be a fix someday. But, its a good mod.
yom14 1 Jun, 2020 @ 11:23am
Thanks
LemonsterOG 26 Apr, 2020 @ 10:03am
@Lucas Lerigou -- It drove me nuts too. I unsubbed this and subbed Softer Shadows . It doesn't have any adjustments available to the user, it just soften the shadows on its own. It's better than fussing with this one or nothing at all.
Lucas Lerigou 26 Apr, 2020 @ 5:56am
the slider always sets to default when i open the game, kinda irritating. i think this mod is broken
MisterHamstring 20 Apr, 2020 @ 8:08am
The shadows on the buildings itself are not changed
Luizzacha 6 Jul, 2019 @ 7:32pm
Long time waiting for it!
Dead Jezebel 3 Jun, 2019 @ 11:42am
great mod thanks... only complaint is the slider never stays where i set it
otmanzayer 22 Apr, 2019 @ 2:36pm
I don't see the settings under my mod settings?
Mvek 10 Mar, 2019 @ 12:57am
I don't see the slider working in real time, but maybe it is conflicting with Shicho, even though the shadow strength slider there is disabled. But I think the Shicho can do the same trick when shadows put on max, so if I need that one, no use for this one.
zappy 5 Jan, 2019 @ 2:36pm
cool
serlly 27 Nov, 2018 @ 5:39am
Is normal tree shadows flickering?
sindar 11 Aug, 2018 @ 11:37pm
@techstepman, so you did not read the Relight mod description and did not follow the setup instructions?
techstepman 11 Aug, 2018 @ 8:04pm
so my buildings where realyly dark on the shadow side cause i was using softer shadows along relight? They do the same tihng?
sindar 7 Mar, 2018 @ 11:27am
@Ronyx69, more than understandable! I came across it working on my mod collections to better manage my content and eventually in preparation to better cope with the next DLC or game update which is likely to again burden stress on moddders and mod users. Glad I could eventually help a little.
Ronyx69  [author] 7 Mar, 2018 @ 11:19am
@sindar Changed the description, a bunch of other mods and assets probably have outdated description because new mods have been made but I'm too lazy to go through it. Thanks for the donation as well.
sindar 7 Mar, 2018 @ 11:10am
Greetings Ronyx69,
may I kindly suggest a minor update to this mod description potentially adding some enlightment to anybody with the "ability to read". :steamhappy:
Your excellent mod Relight requires Shadow Strength Aduster while it conflicts with Softer Shadows. So I thought it might be helfpul to notify readers of this mod description that subscription to Softer Shadows should only be on condition Relight is not subscribed to.
So basically subscriptions should be either:
A) Relight + Shadow Strength Adjuster or else
B) Shadow Strength Adjuster + Softer Shadows
but not all together.
Other than that... I envy you for all your work output that brings so much spice to the look and feel of Citites Skyines! Thank you so much!
rayz0rcakes 19 Feb, 2018 @ 2:32am
For some reason it doesn't work for me. Anyone else?
Blackdragonbird 21 Dec, 2017 @ 3:26am
Hahaha, ok man. No prolem.

Maybe at least put it in the description, maybe some people read and don't bother you asking. =)
Ronyx69  [author] 21 Dec, 2017 @ 2:48am
@Blackdragonbird The actual shadow value saves and loads properly but the slider position doesn't show correctly on load, yeah. I had no idea what I was doing and too lazy to update.
Blackdragonbird 21 Dec, 2017 @ 2:41am
@Ronix69, It's normal to it to reset to the default value every time the game is launched?
AquilaSol 18 May, 2017 @ 11:46am
Works fine with 1.7.0 and Mass Transit. :)
lej_a7 23 Feb, 2017 @ 2:17pm
Yes the theme am referring to is featured in your screenshot. You should consider sharing your themes, they look really good.
Ronyx69  [author] 23 Feb, 2017 @ 2:16pm
@lej_a7 In the screenshot for this mod? I don't remember really but I think it was a map theme I made back then, I have made a different one now, and have custom lighting/tonemapping settings and lut. None of it is on the workshop though.
lej_a7 23 Feb, 2017 @ 2:03pm
This looks beautiful. What theme are you currently using?
Pdguru 20 Sep, 2016 @ 1:55pm
Ronyx69 - yes, tried all that. Just don't have it in the options menu at all. Thanks for getting back to me.
Ronyx69  [author] 20 Sep, 2016 @ 3:18am
@Pdguru You read the description and get that the slider is in the options menu - mods settings - shadow strength adjuster? Did you enable the mod itself in the content manager in the main menu as well?
Pdguru 19 Sep, 2016 @ 7:27pm
Bummer. Just see no slider or anything top make it work. :-(
Ronyx69  [author] 18 Sep, 2016 @ 5:11pm
@Pdguru It clearly works for me and for others, wouldn't know why though, sorry.
Pdguru 18 Sep, 2016 @ 4:58pm
Doesn't work.
KillingJoke 18 Sep, 2016 @ 4:00am
@Ronyx69, you are right, thank you very much!
PCGNeurotic 17 Sep, 2016 @ 2:08pm
Great mod! C:SL has some wicked shadows, esp. when you're in first-person view, the building textures are almost black. This mod and Softer Shadows make everything visible again! Many thanks. :)
Ronyx69  [author] 17 Sep, 2016 @ 5:28am
@KillingJoke I noticed the slider position doesn't save for me, but the shadow strength itself does. Not sure, wouldn't know how to fix it anyway.
KillingJoke 17 Sep, 2016 @ 4:24am
Somehow the settings are not saved. Neither in the main menu nor in a save game, it always starts at default position. But otherwise it works great!
