it will not play / load.
sometimes re-publishing the map, fixes this.

Took a bit of thinking to get started but came together very nicely in the end. Good map!

Very nice puzzle, but it felt like to me there should only be 2 cubes not 3. So I made my own 2 cube version of this puzzle Lp's Fizzler Fest #2 (MAD Version) . Hope you like it.

Oh yeah, I wonder how I overlooked that...

Anyway, nice test.

@Inspirata; you can always use your portals to redirect the laser so you get the light bridge back :)
The Sojourner 24 Nov, 2012 @ 2:39am
I noticed that the player can get stranded after crossing with the hard light bridge. I managed to accomplish that by portal hovering the redirection cube, and somehow it mis-aimed at the laser receptacle that activated the hard light bridge.

Good map, many solutions.

Bbeoggay2, the F6 quick save function does NOT only apply to death; simply press F7 to quick load your last save.

Pros:
• Clever use of lasers, portals and grill;

Cons:
• Failing to cognize the angle that'll solve it;

In fact, this puzzle's difficulty is not extremely difficult. Just 7(or.5)/10. But this map's environment and basic settings induces players to commit various mistakes(don't know whether this point was intended by the author, of course), which leads to a long time to completely solve.

Took me nearly one hour. I was foced to get back to the start several times because I mistakenly contacted the fizzler, placed the reflection cube in the button behind the light bridge(here, the weighed one should be placed!!) and opened the portals in the same place. For those experiecing frustration from restarting puzzles, you can mid-save by pressing F6 whenever you want, which I also came to know just recently. But this applies only when the character dies.

Great fun map. For an extra challenge, you can try to get two cubes to the end. It is definately possible.

Awesome map! The only gripe I had with it is that all the cubes should have been redirection ones IMO. In my first attempt I placed one of the redirection cubes at the button behind the lightbridge (solved it in a slightly different way from the video), so the weighted cube blocked the laser when I placed it at any of the last 2 buttons... I could probably have undone it but restarting the map was faster to me...

bravo

Wonderful test! I, like some others, fired the wrong portal at the end while in the final room, trapping my cubes in the other side, but I found that it was posible to get the bridge up without the boxes, and therefor fizzle the boxes with the fizzlers, effectively restarting the test apart from the regular box. Quite a good one, and all "faults" ("trapped" without boxes) were necissary for the intended solution

OK I gotcha. Besides that stuff, I did have fun with this one

SDG|TeamBlack: Since this is a PTI map I cannot add autosaves, and if I could I couldn't check if you are in an unfavorable position. So yea, in the PTI it is pretty impossible, I was planning on using this puzzle in a hammer map though, slightly modified and with probably some adjustments.

As for the cube dispenser buttons: I deliberatly left them out to avoid pressing and thus fizzling one of the cubes. In one of the previous versions pressing the button would also make the puzzle a lot easier.
SnarkHunter 18 Jun, 2012 @ 6:39pm
so I spent all this time geting the cubes in order, then fired the incorrect portal. Both my cudes were on the other side and there was no way to get no cubes! Jumped in the water hoping for a save point and there weren't any! I'm NOT starting this damn test over.
It can't be all that hard to make checkpoints and cube dispenser buttons COME ON
Muftwin 14 Jun, 2012 @ 8:11am
actually the beginging i did do different i hit everything one at a time i hit the first fizzler put the cube through knocked the next one down moved the cube through turn the bridge off put the cube in turn both fizzlers off then go to \/
Muftwin 14 Jun, 2012 @ 8:07am
oh wow thats not how i did it the beginning didnt really matter but at the end i put the laser at the end of the hall to hit the catcher then i went through the door that opened up and took a cube throughb placed it on the button then i took the other cube to the exit button

I know this is really just cheating my way in, but...
made a map awhile ago today, and i want people to at least try it,
so you can search for "intersecting thoughts" on the side, it'd be great!
jack_hybrid_4 13 Jun, 2012 @ 3:41pm
This is amazing! the last good emancipation grill test was chamber 9 in Portal!
Muftwin 12 Jun, 2012 @ 3:00pm
i thought i was gonna have to get the regular cube back rather than leave it behind the light bridge somehow make it so you have to do that?
🍪 Anna  [author] 12 Jun, 2012 @ 2:06pm
BlueTepig: Any idea how I could fix that then? :)
Muftwin 12 Jun, 2012 @ 1:56pm
very nice didnt seem like it was supposed to end when it did though
