I got the rotor to behave in survival when I tuned the speed down to 6rpm and locked override it in flight.

Yeah, it's not survival friendly.

Somehow in the SE universe we can jump huge distances and control gravity and have a nuclear reactor the size of your kitchen stove but have NO FRAKKING CLUE how to make ships from anything but heavy stupid steel or make a decent thruster.

It's still super fun for creative mode. The rotors seem to change self-destructive behavior every other update or so and I sort of gave up on rotor ships. If they ever fix them I'll tweak this again :)

Holy molly. Dude, Just testing your model in survivor. lol, The darn thing blew up in my face. Those rotors, you can't have them at max speed.

Then, i just went around the block of my asteroid. Just to run out of hydrogen. Can't play with it in survival.

On the Viper though they are automated to timer blocks. Should be on the bar: hit the button and they'll do the rest safely.

Pegas: Once the rotors have moved into place, activate the safety override and they'll behave. If you want them to move during fast flight however they still have issues. These only need to move when you land, which is pretty much impossible to do fast in SE anyway.

note, i refrain from using rotors on models that flies, they had a tendency to jerk and destroy surroundings. KSH said they fixed it a few update back, but i haven't checked it.
