make drugs that make you better in combat like being faster or stronger but you got blurry screen and add gasoline as drug, i heard it have some narcotive properties and maybe crack pipes that uber heal you to 125 hp but after some time you got withdrawl effect and you get one minus 40 hp or few minus 5 hp`s

apparently verifying file integrity fixed my problems

for some reason all of drugs that were added with this mod do not work when i interact with them. the originals i.e. lsd, weed work fine when salvia, kratom etc. do not have any effects.

I think you should just make another addon with the new effects just in case others want to use this one.

Hello to everyone, I have a question. I'm back now and able to work on this project. This is based on a very old addon. I am thinking of extensively changing it. Would you prefer to keep the old effects here and have more elaborate effects elsewhere, or to have this upgraded? I'm thinking of including sensitivity to surroundings for the effects, and sensitivity to various events around the player and effects the player may experience from other things (pain, poison, fire, pickups, etc)

The effects last too long and don't go away with water.

for drugs like DMT and Salvia, you should recreate a closed eye visual thing with geometric patterns. the same wavy blurry texture for all of the psychedelics dont give them any difference or accuracy

Notice for everyone: if you have a specific model you would like to see, I could incorporate it. I've merely to find some I'm allowed to use.

To Miester: I am still infrequently using any computers at all, however, that seems possible, and could maybe use a rescaled gas canister model. What kind of effect are you thinking of?

To Smokey: I would like to include them if such models were available (and unique in at least the texture,) I was originally going to use something other than pottery but could not find any applicable models. I have seen some other modifications of this add-on and may rip their models if given permission, maybe with just some skin/texture changes.

btw while im here can i recommend a suggestion? if so, could u make it so the drugs look realistic with the models, instead of pottery, it would be good if it was real life sized drugs like the mushroom and lsd one as an lsd tab and so on, maybe add some new drugs like lean and xanax or morphine and that if its possible

like some of the effects are okay but most arent, they never used to be error textures, and ive checked the screen effects on the gmod menu and some of them are error textures too and i dont know whats causing it because its never happened before

That's strange - are your source engine game files intact? Which extra game content do you have? These effects work by sticking a texture over the screen, and the texture is associated with graphics code that does the warping. I believed that these textures were all stock with GMod, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm not sure what other games I would have derived them from, and I think I used the same overlays as the older version of this modification, which did not usually present such a problem.

Are your base game textures all fine?

idk why but the effects on some seem to be error textures like black and purple chequered textures
