no prob. do as you wish.
Maybe if I make a complete revamp version. but frankly I have bigger projects that I want to get done ASAP so I'll take a rain check on this for now.
could you make the HD version?
Thanks for your honesty and by the way, I liked the Cola Time theme on your mods, I really enjoy lore friendly stuff too.
Just to let you know, I also used your HD molotov mod also as a base for the Cola Time molotov mod that I made recently.
for that one I did use the original textures from the game but it looked absolutly horrible with it. Your HD molotov mod made it look beautiful and I decided to use it for release.
I'll be crediting you for that as well.
Thank you very much for letting me use it and not being justifiably angry at me, as promised I'll credit you for your work as a base.
and also thank you again for reminding me as to where the texture was, I'll keep that in mind so situations like this don't happen again.
You can find the original texture at "materials\models\props_interiors\medicalcabinet02.vtf".
Sorry for using your HD med-cabinet mod as a base, I had a really hard time finding the texture within l4d2's files.
I do plan on updating this mod because I think I can make a better version of it, If I can find the original textures I can use that instead of your work (unless you're ok with it). Again I want to apologise.
If you want to make your own "Beta" Medcabinet mod then by all means go right ahead, I'd think you would do a better job then I can but again it's up to you.
check out my public screenshot of the look of the pipebomb (and a little extra something too !)
I don't think that's a good idea, if cloud wasn't so screwy with uploading pictures A.T.M I would upload a picture seeing how bad it looks.
Good: I got the gadgets to become invisible.
Bad: the main body of the pipebomb is transparent (you can see it but tends to fade away when moving towards bright areas) and the view model might have holes where some of the gadgets were. (the world model has no holes though...)
hopeful: I might find a way to fix the problems with vmt and texture editing if not then I'll take a crack at modeling because I got a model editor program and I guess I'll try to learn how to use it.
I can't make any promises that I can do-this but as of right now. it's on the to-do list.
I spent all day trying to get it to work, here's the problem. the body of the pipebomb and the gadgets are together into one texture file. if I make a vmt. file with transparency for it than the whole pipebomb is transparent.
Perhaps edit the .vtf texture itself to transparent, perhaps that will work? Do .vtf's even allow transparency? Hmm
because if that's what you mean then sorry to tell ya, but I've tried that and I don't think it's possible to make a certain part of a vtf file to be invisible without effecting the rest of the textures within the pipebomb's vtf file.
if there is a way to make a vmt file to make certain parts of the texture file to be invisible than I'll give it another go until then I got nothing to tell ya.
