On the unique ability, do units who finish production at a golden age get the promotion, or units who START production during a golden age? I assume it is the former.

Something isnt working. I installed the mod, I enabled it and set up a game, but this civilization is not on the list.

I've been testing your update, and I'm happy to report that the trade route issues I was having before seem to be completely gone! I get golden age points for plundering, and the trade routes don't get locked up at all. I still don't see the culture bonus from the Gambling House working, but that might just be me. Thanks for fixing things, this is a great civ!

I love the concepts of this leader, especially the use of unemployed citizens. Unfortunately, the culture bonus from the Gambling House doesn't appear to be working for me... but the much larger problem is the trade routes. Plundered trade routes (mine and everyone else's) are only half-destroyed when I have this mod enabled. The unit still exists in the hex in which it was killed, but it never moves, it never asks to be reassigned, it does not provide its trade route yields, it still counts toward the trade route limits, and it blocks other trade units from making the trade route it was making.

I've reproduced this multiple times with this mod alone and with other mods also enabled, and I can't reproduce it without this mod enabled. Is anyone else getting this issue? Is there a work-around I should be aware of? Thanks.

Golden age points need to be heavily reduced. Perhaps 1 per coastal city per turn instead of 1 per population per coastal city per turn. Maybe 1 per water trade route would work, too.

I also think you should remove the San T'iao promotion. It's often more annoying than helpful.

It crashed when I used all compatible mods save YnAEMP and I was using MC's Polynesian and Greek Civs in addition to More Luxuries and More Pantheons.

Actually the point about the Emmigration Mod is that unlike in base game, now unused population will migrate instead of just sticking around and being unhappy. Thus it would be difficult to keep a pool of unemployed citizens as they'll just leave, hence negating the Gambling House's ability.

You're supposed to be getting it per turn too. The UA says "Costal cities generate golden age points equal to their population."

And of course playing with a thing that gives you tons of population would make a bonus based on population more powerful. He doesn't need to say that--it's common sense.

Not to spam, but I think you should probably have a note above saying this Civ shouldn't be played withe Emigration Mod given how that would really negate the Gambling House.

Golden Age points are borken. I have 13 happiness points, not at war, haven't killed any unit nor pillage any trade unit yet I was awarded 111 GA points. I'm thinking that instead of getting GA points equal to the gold when pillaging, that I'm getting it per turn.

Noticed two issues early into the game. First is for some reason the music stuck with the opening credit music for a LONG time even when I tried to change it with the Music changing mod. Finally some other music came on.

Secondly, I'm noticing land units getting the pirate promotion. So far I've only capture barbarians (like the old school Germans Civ) since I haven't been at war yet.

This was a fun mod and has some great creative elements and I love the graphics for the Red Fleet. But the Golden Age points are too overpowered. I played as Canton on Deity Domination. Wiped out everyone before Electronics and had a Golden Age of 87 turns remaining. Perhaps adjust downward to have capturing a ship/winning naval battles adds Golden Age points, not golden age turns? Great mod overall.

seem to have a bug where trading ships that are plundered stay on the tile and still count towards active trade routes don't know if its because of this mod but has only started happening while using it

I finished my game with this civ. I had a pretty swift Science Victory, and by the time I launched spaceship into the sky I had 200 turns of Golden Age left. You definitely must cut the GA points because it doesn't even feel like a proper bonus right now, more like easy mode.

This be a good thing t' release on Talk Like a Pirate day! But ye were a day early! The UB seems to t' be a bit weak. How about ye give it some other bonus too? Its bonus comes at too great an expense.

@retrocity5 As in, enter combat during the golden age? I have been into combat with the ships but they don't seem to have the promotion or have taken their ship after being victorious.
I however don't remember if that was during the golden age or not.

I just built 3 Triremes during my golden age however none of them seem to have the prize ship promotion. Is that a bug or am I doing something wrong?

This is a cool idea for a mod with interesting mechanics. I think the amount of golden age points given in the ability might be too high, but that's just from a first impression and I haven't played a full game yet. So, I would recommend keeping an eye on that. The Gambling House is a really neat idea using unemployed citizens.

If you ever make compabilities for this mod, don't forget to add compability for the Enlightenment Era; in this mod, the theatre is brought back.
