It's a shame they retired them in 2017. Luckily NYC still has 'em, but not for long. Great work.

That's a shame but I totally understand given the unique nature of the problem. At least this bus still looks fantastic in my right-sided city.

i don't think it's going to happen... lacking any explanation for it.. i tried loading my mesh onto someone elses LHT bus.. and same thing.. it might be an issue with the mesh being so asymmetrical... thats all i can think of.. it should just work.. but it's not. there is no LHT version of the vanilla bus.. it just flips over.. but it's also far more symmetrical..

ok this is driving me nuts.. i lost all the original files, decided to try and pull them out of the crp.. ended up redoing the textures.. then decided to redo th model. didn't like it, ended up using the old one anyway.. but i have the model flipped for left hand... but i am having trouble finding where to to enable left handed.. i'm waiting on some help with it.. but it's getting there..

i take that back.. i will do you a solid.. when i get the chance, i will flip the model, and post a version with doors on the left side.. empahsis on "when i get a chance"

did you ever figure it out? my i've been trouble shooting other things as of late.. haven't had a chance to look into it yet.. i'll get around to it though. just gotta finish up what i'm working on..

Okay, it took me a lot of work to find anything at all that could help here (I even tried extracting the model and making my own asset from scratch!), but after downloading the ModTools mod, I've found that it has something to do with Vehicle+Flags.

When Vehicle+Flags m_flags = LeftHandDrive, (which usually kicks in just after a bus leaves the depot), the default bus model switches from having doors on the right, to doors on the left. Every other bus mod I have doesn't react to this at all, but for some reason your RTS changes to the default left-sided bus model once this flag is active.

I know this isn't much to go on, but hopefully it's a step in the right direction.

well that makes sense... it doesnt have any doors on the left side.. i can't remember if there was a check box for left handed traffic when making it.. but my guess is there is, and i left it unchecked. cause ya know, no doors... if you really want to use it on lht, try loading it in the editor and hunting down an option for left hand traffic..

I've done a bit of testing with different mods and different cities, and it looks like the problem only occurs on cities with left sided traffic, regardless of what mods are in use.

This bus looks great and I'd love to have an RTS in my city... but I'm getting a strange bug where every RTS changes into the default bus model soon as they leave the depot. I'm using a number of other bus mods, but this is the only one with this bug. Any ideas?

after looking around, i'm not the only one with 25mb bus... but either way, like i said, it was for personal use, cause there isn't another out there.. but it came out alright so i shared it...i warned it could be tough on machines. doesn't bother mine at all.

but yeah i didn;t realize it was 26mb... adding up the totals of all the files in the import folder only give me like 1mb.. so i dunno..

they are 1024x1024.. but there is every type of map as pngs.
my lod should 64x64. i only did the diffuse lod.. i don't know how the game generates the rest of the lods..

26 MB for one bus? Um. How big are your textures? For such a vehicle 1024x1024 would do the job or even 512x512. Maybe your lods textures are too big too (If you created a custom lod).

For the lights: There is no way to make those lighs brighter the whole time unfortunately. Only CO could fix this.
