what armor mods could I put on it? So far it seems like it won't let me put any of the armor mods I have right now on there even though they pop up as options
dallen1138 4. sep. 2024 kl. 18:31
Gotcha cheers man!
Effix  [ophavsmand] 4. sep. 2024 kl. 9:29
Hey dallen, most things from K1 were left in the K2 files, so porting is not needed.
It's a bit too unpractical to do as a Steam mod and there's already non Steam mods out there that use that model.
dallen1138 3. sep. 2024 kl. 20:01
Hey Effix, I noticed you ported some of the disguises and robes from Kotor 1, I was wondering if it was possible to port the Sith Governor/darth Bandon Armor robes from the first one?
Sirpikmin9000 13. juli 2022 kl. 10:52
pretty cool
Effix  [ophavsmand] 21. jan. 2021 kl. 9:27
Bro! Nice to hear from you :D
Yeah, 10 years, pretty crazy.
Skullmster 21. jan. 2021 kl. 7:19
It has been a long time my friend. I wanted you to know it's been ten years since you made this and I still appreciate how amazing it turned out. The red robes turned out awesome too!
Effix  [ophavsmand] 14. juni 2020 kl. 12:47
No, sorry, I don't make new models.
Archangle THE JOLZINATER! 13. juni 2020 kl. 18:15
Can you make a mod to include a hooded robe?
Effix  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2020 kl. 8:21
I don't think KSE "sees" any workshop content, only things in the main override folder.
You can temporarily copy the mod's files to the override folder, then do your KSE thing and remove the files again.
Or you can copy the files permanently and then unsubscribe from the mod, it could be a bit trickier to uninstall but that should be doable by looking at the dates of files.
Just make sure you don't have the same files in 2 locations, that can get glitchy.
To find the workshop folder you can do a file search on for example a_robe_79.
tejiani 10. apr. 2020 kl. 5:20
I'm not seeing this in the KSE? How come? (The Electromesh Battle Robe to be specific.
Effix  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2020 kl. 15:30
There's only increments of 5, that's why it's 5 and 10.
I can lower 5 to 0, but then it's pretty much only about looks.
I don't mind raising the cost, but I'm not sure if people would go back to the merchants to spend their money on these items if I do. I did think about all this, but yeah, tricky to balance things.
Mike 5. mar. 2020 kl. 15:04
Personally I'd say cut the energy resist down to 6 on the battle armor and jump the price up to double what it is, and make the regular robes cost 2200 credits while reducing their energy resit to 3 points.
Effix  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2020 kl. 13:35
Fair enough, what do you suggest?
Making up the stats took some guessing 10 years ago, it's still tricky to me to really keep things balanced now.
Mike 5. mar. 2020 kl. 13:11
Honestly the battle robes seem a bit overpowered for that low price. Giving near immunity to energy damage dished out at low levels and high level energy immunity when coupled with the energy resist power.
Effix  [ophavsmand] 28. maj 2019 kl. 2:47
No, I made these back in 2010. They're based on the Electromesh Armor that's in the game.
human prop 27. maj 2019 kl. 22:47
reminds me of starlords outfit... is that where you got the idea from?
Wings 22. nov. 2018 kl. 7:58
@BobbyTheWallflower https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor2/mods/478

This mod is OLD.
BobbyTheWallflower 13. aug. 2018 kl. 16:04
God, I wish there was a mod where Bao-Dur could wear some kick-ass robes once he's trained as a jedi
Drakyn Lóng 7. maj 2018 kl. 22:00
Yeh yeh, though waiting on his response now XD
Effix  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2018 kl. 14:13
Thanks Shunut.
Drakyn Lóng 7. maj 2018 kl. 10:49
What exactly do you mean by generic jedi robe? Also what mods are you using?
Effix  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2018 kl. 3:34
Hard to tell, maybe a robe replacement mod
Ciggrat 5. maj 2018 kl. 15:50
Why does the robe look like a generic jedi robe in my game? Any idea what mod might conflict with it to cause this?
Effix  [ophavsmand] 20. mar. 2018 kl. 11:15
Cool, happy gaming!
Drakyn Lóng 19. mar. 2018 kl. 19:05
Yet to come across it but hopefully will in my current playthrough!
Fritz Bittenfeld 11. feb. 2018 kl. 14:26
Huh, nvm. Must've been some other Jedi robes reskin mod I had installed.
Effix  [ophavsmand] 11. feb. 2018 kl. 14:21
Which? Please be more specific. I shouldn't conflict with any of my other mods though, perhaps another mod could conflict?
Fritz Bittenfeld 8. feb. 2018 kl. 19:09
Is this armor effected by your jedi robe/armor reski mod? Because I have both installed and it looks like a generic Jedi robe for me.
Greenstar66 6. dec. 2017 kl. 16:10
fuck anyone who says other wise
Effix  [ophavsmand] 5. dec. 2017 kl. 12:31
:) Thanx
Greenstar66 4. dec. 2017 kl. 18:30
I like your style
Fedaygin 29. juni 2017 kl. 9:30
Looks Great :hearter: Big thanks Effic :clementineelf:
One Eyed Mercenary 13. apr. 2017 kl. 23:50
Thats a shame. I can't mod and no modding genius has taken a shot at full head helmets/masks. Oh well.
Effix  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2017 kl. 3:02
Those you mention are in the game, like helmets in KotOR 2, but they are part of a single full body model.
You would have to convert the model, separate the head part in a 3D modeling program, probably set up some things for it to work as a real headpeace, convert back to game format. I tried some simple edits years ago and again a while back and I never got things to work, so I gave up. Other people did manage to do things like that. From doing a quick search I only found:
Mandalore's Helmet: http://www.nexusmods.com/kotor2/mods/493/?
There's a tutorial on how it can be done, you'll see that it is not so easy:
http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/4507-ripping-heads-from-a-full-body-model/
One Eyed Mercenary 12. apr. 2017 kl. 15:09
Well there was a mod that let you wear full helmets but it was only for kotor 1. It was for helmets that were already in game though like the sith trooper helmet or mandalorian helmet. Know of any mod for kotor 2 that does the same?
Effix  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2017 kl. 13:39
That would require messing with the 3D model
One Eyed Mercenary 11. apr. 2017 kl. 19:42
Oh thats a shame effix. How about a mod where the helmet covers the whole head?
Effix  [ophavsmand] 7. apr. 2017 kl. 9:56
There's a hood mod from years ago, doesn't look too great. I myself gave up on trying to mess with the 3D models.
One Eyed Mercenary 7. apr. 2017 kl. 0:16
Hey effix, ever thought of making the hood wearable or making a version where its on the characters head? It would look cool and go excellently with masks/helmets.
Effix  [ophavsmand] 2. apr. 2017 kl. 13:12
I'm subscribed to this mod the same way you all are (and had been before arriving on Dantooine) and I can't recreate the vendor problem. The comment about it in the description is very strict though, you need a save game where this area has never been loaded yet, even leaving Dantooine and going back to it doesn't make it work.
If that's not the issue then all I can think of is a conflict with another mod. Anyway, glad you can check things out with the cheats, have fun :)
gn0m0n 2. apr. 2017 kl. 6:21
update: Actually, now it is! I don't know what exactly made it work but I tried alternating installing and uninstalling the workshop content a couple of times, along with restarting the game and rebooting once or twice, and eventually it did show up. I think it may have actually helped to subscribe to it while the game was running - I got some kind of pop-up message in-game about needing to restart then, I think. I also think that it didn't show up for sale on Dantooine even though it "should" have - but the cheat (giveitem a_robe_78) DID work. Thanks for the info elsewhere on how to use the cheats, and thanks for all the excellent mods you've made!
Effix  [ophavsmand] 17. mar. 2017 kl. 9:49
Ok, thanks for confirming that. It's a shame it's not working for you two, I really don't have a clue why it isn't.
gn0m0n 16. mar. 2017 kl. 23:02
I have the same problem - not showing up even w/ the cheat... I do have files in the dir you mentioned
Effix  [ophavsmand] 3. mar. 2017 kl. 8:29
Do you have files in here?
