@HostGhostly don't know if you're still on here but that should have less to do with the distance and more to do with the fact that thermals don't work through glass...
HostGhostly 19 Sep, 2024 @ 2:25am
Its actually more so that your vision distance is reduced at night with the thermals
HostGhostly 19 Sep, 2024 @ 2:13am
A problem, no matter what thermal you use, you cant see anything at night. You can't see terrain, vehicles or personnel unless you're close to them, which if you're in a helicopter or jet you aren't. That being said, it works very well as infantry but not when using any flying vehicles. If we could get a version that somehow picks up at night too, it would be great

How do you switch which mode is active (switching from red WHOT to grey WHOT)

Dedicated server key doesn't seem to work. Great mod otherwise
Rad  [author] 17 Nov, 2019 @ 3:56pm
Yes, the thermal works exactly the same like the vanilla goggles, it's just a different model.
xray 17 Nov, 2019 @ 9:15am
Is terrain still viewable at night with the thermals on?
FastWing 19 Mar, 2019 @ 1:48pm
A-fucking-mazing!

hi @Rad, idk if you are reading but i need a help here , i downloaded this http://orig07.deviantart.net/dd3f/f/2015/312/0/e/arma_3_diamondback_remastered_by_zeealex-d9g1bpk.jpg but it has no Thermal capability to it, what can i do to make it thermal any script and idea where to plug them ?
Rad  [author] 13 Jun, 2018 @ 3:13am
I have removed multiple TI mods from the goggles as they cluttered their usage so i only kept what i thought was the best mode: White hot red. As for the invisible or eyepatch kind of thermals i will definitely not make that. The mod has "Goggles" in its name and it will stay like that.
SH4DOW_Jack 12 Jun, 2018 @ 9:30pm
so, i love this but only the first version has 5 different visions, also, can you make a skin that actually hides the thermal goggles when they go down or even and eye patch nvg with all the same functions?
Dean 24 May, 2018 @ 12:44pm
@Rad thanks anyway, appreciate the quick response.
Rad  [author] 24 May, 2018 @ 12:33pm
@dean, I wanted to do that originally but the game doesnt have those kinds of thermal vision, sorry
Dean 24 May, 2018 @ 12:32pm
Would it be possible to make red on blue? Like normal thermals?
Rad  [author] 20 May, 2018 @ 10:25am
Hmm. Maybe the texture path is wrong in the config. That's the only reason, send me a screenshot and tell me the name of the goggles, ill fix it.
GrumpyPlok616 20 May, 2018 @ 8:34am
is there a reason i can have these but cant see them on my guy but can see the night vsion straps
Rad  [author] 27 Jan, 2018 @ 2:14am
What do you mean by CSAT nvg? Standard CSAT wear black NV goggles. If youre talking about those new CSAT NV goggles that came with Apex, i haven't made them thermal.
Tindalos7 26 Jan, 2018 @ 5:49pm
What about csat's nvg?
BigJim21 29 Sep, 2017 @ 4:58am
can you add this to a server ? sorry for the noobis question i dont play arma much
Ryan 22 Sep, 2017 @ 3:47pm
@Rad Well, that's what it actually does, lol. You get actual NVG that you can wear, that supports both TI and NV
Rad  [author] 22 Sep, 2017 @ 11:21am
Yea those are private classnames (scope = 1) and they are used on pilot helmets and similar, the point of this mod is to have real goggles that you can wear.
Ryan 22 Sep, 2017 @ 7:50am
@Rad Try it ;)
Rad  [author] 21 Sep, 2017 @ 4:27pm
@maxine What???
Ryan 21 Sep, 2017 @ 3:49pm
100% vanilla variant:
1. player addItem "Integrated_NVG_TI_0_F"
2. Save in arsenal
3. ???
4. PROFIT

Or use one of these:
"Integrated_NVG_F" - Full-screen NVG
"Integrated_NVG_TI_0_F" - Same, but with white thermals
"Integrated_NVG_TI_1_F" - Same, but with black thermals
Vandle 17 Sep, 2017 @ 8:56am
@Rad, Time and Patients your followers will understand delay's with mods.
Rad  [author] 16 Sep, 2017 @ 1:58pm
actually Vander i changed it to red and white for my unit because its much better,i might do it for this mod aswell when i have time
Vandle 16 Sep, 2017 @ 1:22pm
@Rad That be lit mate, maybe some differen't variants of it in stead of the usual m futuristic thermal go back to when they used like the red & white hot variant. Thats my suggestion but you do you mate either way i love using the mod.
Rad  [author] 16 Sep, 2017 @ 2:58am
Quick question: Would you guys like the goggles in multiple Camos? I currently made some in CTRG camo but i can make other ones too.
Vandle 9 Apr, 2017 @ 11:56pm
I enjoy the fact that You took something as the Standard thermal vison of the TWS scope and just re applied it to the NVG of the standard arma though honeslty i'm not a fan of the standard nvg but if its something like this i will gladly use them to my advantae. So good work Rad and keep it up as wlel :)
Joakkino [ITA] 22 Mar, 2017 @ 7:04pm
That's right. But mine is always bright :( This is i'm trying to say :P
Rad  [author] 22 Mar, 2017 @ 11:26am
Like i said,it doesnt have to do anything with the mod,its the vanilla green. If you took the vanilla laser designator and stood next to someone who's gun is hot while looking trough the designator you will see it gets very bright
Joakkino [ITA] 22 Mar, 2017 @ 5:35am
I love this mod too, but as i wrote below, the thermal vision is too green, to bright green, in comparison to the green of thermal vision of sights. But i'm going to use it anyway ^_^
Personally i dont like the full screen version because it feels less realistic :P
Thx again for this mod <3
Rad  [author] 15 Mar, 2017 @ 2:54pm
You should see my "Overpowered edition" where it has all the possible TI modes xD But yea it is possible
TheStoreyTeller 15 Mar, 2017 @ 12:24pm
I love this mod. But is it possible to get a version where its just white hot? after using this for a long time i find it sluggish to have to switch between all the modes. just to go back to regular vision.
Joakkino [ITA] 11 Mar, 2017 @ 6:10pm
Oh damn... Never thought about this :D Thx for the tip :P
Rad  [author] 10 Mar, 2017 @ 2:23am
No it is not. The thermal goggles automaticly adjust themselves (Thats how BI made thermal work) based on how close thermals are. If you shoot your weapon a lot so it gets hot and then put your goggles on,the goggles will get very bright because of the heat coming from really close range. Same goes if you're in a vehicle for example
Joakkino [ITA] 9 Mar, 2017 @ 5:33pm
Hi Rad, congrats for this mod!
A question is the other reason cause i'm writing: is it possible to reduce the brightness (or make it adjustable)? Expecially for the thermal mode, it' really too much green ( at least for me).
Please note that i'm playing on i7-3770, GTX 960 AMP (4GB) and (useless :P) 32 GB RAM on 1920x1980 with very high details. Something on ultra and something other on standard setting.

Thx in advance ^_^
Rad  [author] 9 Mar, 2017 @ 2:30am
You mean so that they dont appear on the head? If you mean that then yes,it is but why would i do that?
Seridis van der Egix 8 Mar, 2017 @ 6:29pm
is any way you make them invisible all the time?
Rad  [author] 29 Jan, 2017 @ 6:38am
Yea,sure
Rad  [author] 10 Jan, 2017 @ 5:43am
@CSK222 You should be able to use my thermal goggles while using RCO or ERCO
Rad  [author] 10 Jan, 2017 @ 5:42am
Allright guys, its here. I finally took a little time to write the config. You will now be able to use Pilot and Heli pilot helmet's integrated Night and Thermal vision. Helmets have fullscreen vision and all possible thermal modes,i hope you like it ;)
Rad  [author] 10 Jan, 2017 @ 3:55am
Yes there is,that is simple but i dont want to do it on the normal goggles as i want to keep it a bit realistic. The pilot and helipilot helmets will have the full screen tho
CSK222 10 Jan, 2017 @ 12:27am
Here's another idea. Is there any way to allow Full Screen NVG? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=423344798
Rad  [author] 4 Jan, 2017 @ 2:51am
it is indeed with a simple config
CSK222 3 Jan, 2017 @ 9:05pm
Is there any way possible to do something like this but to the weapons optics, for example an ERCO,RCO, etc. scope. I've always wanted low zoom power thermal optics. I'm always stuck with the Nightstalker.
Rad  [author] 1 Jan, 2017 @ 6:14am
Thats a nice idea,i will see the pilot helmet and reconfigure it so it has thermal :)
BarracudaKiller 31 Dec, 2016 @ 11:11am
hey Rad, u think u can make one for the Pilot helmets, sort of like how tehy have full screen NVG's except add another helmet taht has NVG's, thermals etc?
