A machine that makes blueprints so you can learn them.
The world of modding does not have logic, only... mods and stuff..

Yeah, I guess it's really an overlapping with some other mod.

If you want to just spawn it, the table is called "designer" in the code, so you should be able to spawn it like any other item:
1) type /admin
2) enter the command /spawnitem designer
3) type /admin (to turn off the admin mode)

@bbWalole
Oh, that's helpful, that might be what's causing the bug. I haven't coded for ages but I'll try to make a workaround, can't promise anything tho.
8BitKefka 26 Jun, 2019 @ 11:20pm
same issue as bbwalole not showing up in architect table is there any other way to spawn it?
Walole 26 Jun, 2019 @ 6:13pm
Seems to not be showing up in my Architect's table. I have noticed I have a table playing the Aegi in Elithian Races called Designer's Table. Possible ID overwrite.

weird

@[JdG Pejman @sour cream

I don't have any problem crafting it :/ and I don't think it's a conflict with any other mod (I made sure to avoid that happening). Check if it's really installed because otherwise I have no clue...

@MineTurtle[MT]

That happens because the game has to load a lot of recipes at once, I can't do anything about it. Same happens even with some vanilla crafting tables (i.e. Pixel Printer).
Weaponized Idiot 9 May, 2019 @ 5:54am
it doesnt freeze, just an fps drop for like 5 seconds probably
Weaponized Idiot 9 May, 2019 @ 5:53am
for some reason when i try to craft some recipes the fps goes down to 0, i dont know why its happening
sour cream 20 Apr, 2019 @ 1:49pm
Im not able to craft the designer, any help?
[JdG] Pejman 21 Mar, 2019 @ 7:33am
the designer isnt in the architect table (mod is enabled according to game)
aubri 14 Feb, 2019 @ 2:19pm
Thank you.
Reynbowz 13 May, 2018 @ 12:50pm
Excellent mod. I like how it adds a non-cheaty way to get all the blueprints that doesn't involve hours of searching for chests, it really adds to the sandboxy nature of the game. Now I have more different ways to get the blueprints I want :D
Stardusty 12 Mar, 2018 @ 5:59pm
Very cool. i like the element of mysteriousness. n_n
Lord Colibri 17 Jan, 2018 @ 11:52pm
Thanks for that ! Can be hectic to get some of thos 'dem blueprint

Handy !
Jessy2299 25 Jun, 2017 @ 4:01pm
Will you had mech blueprint too ?
Sephira jo 22 Jun, 2017 @ 7:15am
Thank you for the update and all the hard work! :D
HaxoFelyne  [author] 22 Jun, 2017 @ 3:08am
Finally updated to be compatible with Starbound version 1.3 and higher. Thank you for your patience.
Jessy2299 18 Jun, 2017 @ 6:24pm
You should add mech blueprint too
HaxoFelyne  [author] 12 Jun, 2017 @ 3:41am
Thanks for telling me, 1.3 broke it and now mysterious blueprints drop nothing. I'll take a quick look into the code but seems like it will require intense re-coding and unfortunately I'm so busy those days and right now I don't have time to do it. If that's the case expect a fix in a week or so. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Sephira jo 11 Jun, 2017 @ 7:42pm
It no longer works witht the update. I'm sad, this was my favorite mod.
Tail 11 Jun, 2017 @ 12:25pm
Borked on 1.3, will you mind fixin' it?
tranz2deep 3 Apr, 2017 @ 2:27am
Before anyone else screams over the Patreon, please note it's -voluntary-! This is the sensible system used over at (gasp) the Nexus, and I think the whiners should just go and eat more cheese.
Neverward 30 Jan, 2017 @ 8:54pm
I don't think it's aweful at all, hard work deserves payment and I think Patreon is a fantastic cause. As a student I can't afford to back all the projects I find interesting. It was merely an inquiry and you are of course entitled to say no :P I once did a lot of graphic work for free until I also realized the value of my own work. Good luck.

Nope. I've been playing with this mod since I made it and my opinion is that the rng makes it balanced, sometimes you get the plueprint you want at the first try and sometimes you spend tons of money to get it, so in all cases you'll need to have a big pixel farm, preferably with endgame stuff.
HOWEVER if you still want me to make the mod harder you can request it if you become my patron (my Patreon is linked in the description). You may think I'm greedy and it's ok, but I gotta say that I used to make stuff by request for free and it was an awful experience, so since then I also demand something in exchange.
Neverward 26 Jan, 2017 @ 7:07pm
Any possibility that you will make a version that makes it more difficult to craft? More mats, possibly zone chests, something like that? I'm not trying to be annoying, and this mod is great, I just really like when my game is hard (just not so hard that I can't ever find a forge blueprint after 20 planets.)
Kurisu 29 Dec, 2016 @ 7:54am
Thanks man. :steamhappy:
Wiku 27 Dec, 2016 @ 4:48pm
Ah okay, I guess I just have awful luck lol. Alas, thanks for the response!

It should show up on the Architect's Table (the 3rd upgrade of the Inventor's table). Please check there and check if you subscribed to the mod correctly. If it stills not showing up contact me again.

> Are some blueprints rarer than others? I am finding it impossible to find certain blueprints (Example Flesh bed) from the machine after using 20+ pieces. Please lemme know if its an error or just poor luck

Depends. Almost all Mysterious BP have equal probability pools, I.E. if a pool has 5 different blueprints, every one of them will have a 20% chance of being granted (100/5=20). An exception are the pools that contain non-furniture items, like the Rainbow mysterious BP, in which you can get also blueprints for crayons (a back cosmetic armor) and paintguns.

-continues in the next comment-
HaxoFelyne  [author] 27 Dec, 2016 @ 12:04pm
-continuation-

In this case, the probability to get a furniture blueprint represents a 75% of total percentage (probability of getting one certain blueprint is no longer 100/X but instead 75/X), and non-furniture blueprints are in the remaining 25%. If you are trying to get a non-furniture blueprint it will be harder to get than a furniture one. If the pool you are trying to get that blueprint doesn't have non-funiture items, you are just having bad luck.

What do you mean "can only be" 24 minutes, it can be as long as the devs program it to be. Explain to me what programming limitations force them to have a 24 minute day cycle. And for that matter, I believe different planets have different day cycles.
Neverward 11 Dec, 2016 @ 1:18pm
Hi I really like this idea but right now it seems like cheating because of how easy it is to get. I'd like if, for example, you needed at least 100 striped wood, or maybe a chest from that zone. I always end up with a bunch of chests from a place and there were never blueprints in them...

i think i forgot to add format limitations to that list.

for a simple person i call this a mind hack and that hack is called headache XD.

The limit of improvement is the potential limit of the subject in question to be improved if you really get down to it. The potential limit of improvement is also limited by physical limitations. However, in the digital world the physical limitations are erased and replaced with programming, processing power, graphics, memory space, sound quality, screen size, and screen shape limitations as well as speed at which actions are percieved in time. like how a day in the game can only be about 24 minutes compared to 24 hours in real life. wonder how many people can actually comprehend such a simple fact. Now just to figure out the limit to how many limitations actually exist out there in the world.
summus artifex 11 Oct, 2016 @ 1:49am
sounds like a plan.

john_jenkins1995 may I add you on steam? You seem a great partner and also we could talk from there
summus artifex 10 Oct, 2016 @ 6:34pm
I have plenty of ideas to go around but no real way or skill to impliment them. So I often frustrate myself because of it. But i'm glad that some people can make use of them.
summus artifex 10 Oct, 2016 @ 6:32pm
Perhaps adding crafting recipes to weapons that seem like they should have them could be a priority. Like the gauntlets, chakram, boomarang, and magnorbs which the first two are the lowest tier versions unlike their blueprint upgrade counterparts while magnorbs really has no higher tier version. And if the crafting recipes are too easy then you could just pump up the cost of the weapons crafting recipe to balance out the system. everyone with common sense knows that experimentation is trial and error. If done right, then maybe crafting them could be client side in which multi player is not affected.

They pretty much threw out some really good concepts before doing the full release and they improved a few i give them that. But their latest update had a few content holes on it that made the update look like a slice of swiss cheese.
summus artifex 10 Oct, 2016 @ 2:56am
i most commonly find them on scortched planets around fire stars.
summus artifex 10 Oct, 2016 @ 2:55am
cool. As a side note I think they kinda replaced the crystal biome with a geode biome instead. You can find rare blueprints in very little numbers like musical carved music notes of geode crystal and maybe a bed or something. breaking geodes gives you colored geode samples more often than not which make great decor for collectors and you sometimes even get a good amount of ore or legendary ore samples on displays. The notes react to you and play their sounds too. The geode biomes themselves are extremely rare. Just sell the extra geode samples though, or share them, your choice.

Thank you for giving your opinion!

The ideas/discussions/bug reports thread it's a good idea, but this mod is not very popular, so for now I'll keep it the way it is right now. However if in a future I see a good opportunity to implement this I will go for it.

About the swamp table, my intention with this mod is make another way to get already obtainable blueprints, and the swamp table isn't included here. But you gave me an idea: to make an add-on mod that will include a recipe for the table, as well as other unobtainable objects like the crystal furniture (they exist in the game files as well as their crafting recipes, however the crystal mini-biome was removed, so there's no legit way to get the blueprints to unlock their recipes). I'm working on another mod right now so this could take some time, but I'll keep you updated.
summus artifex 9 Oct, 2016 @ 2:29pm
sorry typo i meant swamp in that last line.
