Your Works is Cosmic CosmicD :D, not easy to compete with the original music. I discover this in the campaign Dead Before Dawn. Now i want to try this in vanilla game.

this was the original DC. The extended map just has 1 added to it. and an added section to the mall since the left 4 dead 1 version.

extended version is a repacked one i guess downloaded from another site ? Here we needed to pack the campaign in several volumes, and for people who didn't want to have the custom music, we packed that sepparately; But that's plugged into the campaign.

THis pack replaces the standard files. But there's not a great way to properly do it to be honest.

that is the music pack for the campaign itself, this is the music pack for people who don't have the campaign but would like the standard music replaced.

Oh no! I was actually thinking about the original itself being an addon than going through the trouble of remastering it. If not, that's alright! I just really like the song, and it would be cool to hear it through the campaigns. :D

Is there a separate track for the ending credits? I'd love to listen to it on repeat, but others and I have had some trouble in which we couldn't find it on Youtube.

I installed it, went ingame and all music was silent lol.
I restarted the game and it still does that.
I also deactivated any other sound mods.

valve... always breaking stuff :P I would need some info on what exactly happens, maybe the game has started to be more picky about wave files, or conflicts with other mods ? I hope somebody can test their installbase with this mod only

Sound modding in l4d isn't really "modular", the engine is too crude to accept hirarchies of sound data on their own, and adopt special loop points unless it's included in a custom campaign with levelscripts and a sepparate sound cache file.

I teste this, and this was the only workable option for me rightnow

i really don't use any soundscript replacements because that would have meant a shenanigans amount of other problems, and work to be done and it wouldn't solve anything, it would force everyone to use, adding the skeleton of a campaign and a sound script, and even then that didn't work until the engine allows you to override the level sound scripts of the stock campaign, which it doesne't.

See the issue with l4d2 engine is that, either you have to use exact the length of wave files to replace the stock ones with or else it will have cuts, what you can hear in some files because i'm not able to cut them nicely. Then there's no way to include a soundcache that will tell the engine to use different custom timings unless you include an entire campaign.

Perhaps you are using Raymann's Admin System? Who knows why, but a well known issue is it stops 'taank' from playing, and plays 'tank' instead.

My mates and I have custom music for Tanks, and 'tank.wav' is instantly obviously different from 'taank.wav'. We all hear as little as none to about 1s of 'taank', and then it starts the normal 'tank'.

Strange oddity with that addon. If you don't use that Addon and you have that problem, who knows.

taank is used in the final tank of the finale and doesn't quite sound the same in stock campaigns, there's a flute arrangement added to taank it in the original music, with dbd, I think it's just a remaster of the same track:)

hehe, I remember syncing that up when I made that with a videotrack of the charger's animation :) Yet I can't loop it properly because of the technical limits I described on the forum

Simply subscribed, no looping issues. The Charger pound track does have a slight skip and brief half second silence at the end, however the loud beats of the track do not become unsynced with the Charger's attacks, which is the important part. Good stuff!

Can't seem tho solve the looping issues, you can only solve it locally if you'd move all the files to the main game sound structure, but that is beyond the scope of the workshop.

again this bs crops up. It's supposed to auto loop because there's a soundcache, and it has loop region markers, I don't know what's going on with this. Thought I had that fixed
