you are awesome for finding this, i knew it had something to do with the captains chair/navigation panel scripting/links as they changed parts of that stuff around a bit in 1.3, you posting this confirmed that and you helped the mod author with this, thanks :D

oh hey, you are welcome... I was just annoyed that my ship didnt work after my final upgrade because of 1.3 hehehe... I can be a real bloodhound what mods are concerned, I will find whats wrong sooner or later ;P

I'm glad you are ontop of this.. btw, I used this black/red ship for my human race, thats why it's the human.object file for me (for other races it wil say something else).. I was a little bit dissapointed that the humans dont have this awesome black/red theme :D

I'm going to update everything tomorrow.

OK... so... I fixed it myself... PHEW!

This is what you need to do:
go into the mod folder/objects/soma/somacaptainchair their you find a somacaptainschairhuman.object file. Open that with Notepad++ or something and scroll all the way down where you see:

"interactAction" : "blahblah" (blahblah not included)

change to (and add) this:

"interactAction" : "ScriptPane",
"interactData" : "/interface/cockpit/cockpit.config",

save and exit.... VOILA, fixed !

I can fully confirm... New 1.3 update broke the ship (or the ship breaks 1.3, however you wanna see this) too bad... I JUST upgraded the ship to the final tier and now I cant use it...

I'm not holding my breath that this gets fixed soon. Mod author doesnt seem to have much time for his mods anymore

in 1.3 i get the following error when trying to use the navigation console:

PS, it is one hell of a strange and silly error for being in a singleplayer survival mode game but... ok, i'll take it XD

or perhaps more importantly to me a ship for the Kazdra whenever that gets updated (they dont have ship teirs fully so a ship replacer for them is Required and yours are the best since you have teirs)

As a heads up, it seems the new update broke the Ship, likely due to the new nav system.

I'm not sure how Starbound will react, because it normally use servers.
Make a backup of your saves, it's always a good thing to do.
And I think at max you can lose your captain chair, in that case type in singleplayer:
/admin
/spawnitem humancaptainschair 1
/admin
And then place it where you want to.

oh when i asked about multiplayer supported i ment, can i join my friends as long as they have the mod aswell? or do i still need to go through the prosses that you gave below?

Mods in Starbound require additional treatment to work in multiplayer.
