Well, i found that small drills (small grid) is not properly collects ice (only for first voxel delete, or for zero), but big drills (big grid) is working properly, so, solution is to use only big grid drills for ice (or something dissapearing else)

can I use the model of the tier 4 drill for a server? It would be combined with the custom server mods be more than happy to give you credit, it will only be used for our server.

Anyone have an issue when using basic digger tools it didnt pickup the ore even though it did remove large voxel? its only picked stone. also it didnt picked ice.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but, I have been testing older ships that used this mod on a very minimally modded game, and the drills will only gather material for a short time before they stop entirely. Vanilla drills still work fine and fill the cargo entirely. =) Just thought I'd mention it for the author or anyone else having the same issue.
@ReekHavoc that part of the way the game core mechanic is. Grinding other clan stuff is theft and will decrease your rep to them, same if they do that to you.

can you set in the CubeBlocks_Tools.sbc to stop it decreasing rep with other factions when using the grinder ship tools ? i couldn't see it in there. Cheers

well, you'll want to go to your SE game folder to SpaceEngineers\Content\Data\CubeBlocks\CubeBlocks_Prototech.sbc and edit the drill definition, and change the values in: <CutOutRadius> <CutOutOffset> <SensorOffset> <SensorRadius> and save it. Now this only affects your worlds as it's your files edited.

I dont mod, i use this mod but the drills from this make the prototech drill redundant. How do i change the stats of the prototech drill to give these drills something to compete against?

That was the first thing I tried, hence why I commented. Also, it doesn't really matter because I don't quite understand how I should change it anyway. Modadjuster doesn't give you any more Info, it's just a way to make a copy of a mod with some altered settings. If it's just me and another person then we don't need.
Anyway, the only thing I found that might be related to my previous question is "DropProbability 1". Now I just tried to change that to 100 and other values and now one of the drills drops uranium ingots instead of scrap (from Xenocores)... no idea how that happened but yea, that's why I'm here.

Use the mod adjuster mod on workshop, allows you to change other mods settings

Hey there, is it possible to edit the Components file (or another file) for the mod so it does drop "Xeno/Octo cores" when grinding down blocks?
I'm asking because of how me and a friend play and it would better fit our playthrough.

@Chromosphere i had the same issue it was due to a cargo mod/script but i can't remember the name of that mod so look for any mod or script that deal with Cargo. I'm going to try to find it and tell you as soon i find the name

hmm well i'll do some testing as this is only happening recently and was fine before, might be something to do with other mods, if i figure it out myself i'll put it here aswell, still thx for the great mod

currently no, didn't know this was an issue, I have not updated this mod in 4 years, also if it's a script problem, I have no way of fixing that.

hey do you have any idea why these tools don't seem to want to relinquish anything in their inventory? neither conveyor sorters or inventory management scripts like IIM seem to be able to pull anything out of the grinder. i can access them from other containers fine so it is not a conveyor placement issue. any help is appreciated

Here's something I don't understand. On the small grid tiered drills, you have the drill radius listed, but under the build info mod which displays all of a block's details it says different number for the drill radii. For example, in the description on this page, the tier 1 small grid drill says 6.5m diameter, but build info says its 3.9m radius with 10m radius for excavating.

What really perplexes me is that the difference between tier 2 and tier 3 is actually lower in mining radius. With Tier 2 reporting 5.1m mining radius and Tier 3 reporting 4.9m radius.

Hello, first id like to thank you for all your work for the SE community. Modders like your self have made this game greater then it ever could be. I was wondering if it would be possible to get permission to modify this mod for my needs. I have a server mod I am making and would like to incorporate several blocks specifically, as not all are needed. All credit will go to you with link to the original mod in the description. The mod would be set to unlisted as well.

@Valera ypu could go with incinerator mod or stone duster mod ... both work very well at stone removal and not leaving behind anything that could clog up your world and lag it down.

Heya nukeguard we're building a server with some buddies and we'd like to use these blocks with our tiered tech setup.
Is it okay if we use some blocks in our mod ?

That doesn't really seem like a fix as much as a workaround. It's not just stone that I have problems with. What if the node I'm mining is big enough to make my ship crash?

yep, those remove the stone because this mod gets lots of stone quickly

@Benecor here a solution that I have used and it by using the Ganymede incinerator for large grid or the “stone duster” (if not mistaken) for small grid and the sorter so you can rid of unwanted stone.

Quick question since we know by what you written in the description the size of hole the drill make by tech/tier level while mining but what the diameter when they are digging?

I'm using tiered ship tools (which I love). The problem is that the drill has crazy large capacity. since it picks up ore so fast, it can overload my ship in a few seconds. Regular drill on my server has about 23,000 L. Tier 3 drill has about 422,000L capacity. Any idea how I can fix this?

Really quick, is there a way to tell if a chip is working, have T4 ones on a grinder and no significant difference is made at all, dont know if they workin or not basically.

Have you giving permission to anyone for any usage of your Tier 4 Large drill graphics. It seems it is being used on a server under a different name.
