will this be updated to support the new version?
drakej19 29 Jun @ 11:01am
For me, the headlights are great, but the turn signals and brake lights are massively annoying. The brake lights are way too cone shaped when projecting, and turn signals on trailers are mirrored when only using one side. For example, when using the right signal, the light cone from the signal light on the side of the trailer will be the same on the left, even though that light is not on, it looks like it is. I might just be a dumb ass, but it feels very wrong to me

Frkn good work, I'd say. Thanks for sharing. Works fine in both sims. :cleandino:

NikRoy, give him some time. It will come.

Update 1.54??
Brulikrax 13 Feb @ 12:55am
@Kaod, most players / users are adults in this game, including the mod creator and your statement sounds like a chieldish yapping. In the very first place, you should have been told by others that graophical mods need ressources / better components than what is suggested as "recommended" by SCS. I don't get how shor sited some people are...
Kaog 12 Feb @ 10:01pm
On non-high-end PCs it can cause loss of FPS
iManuBAD iT 8 Feb @ 12:49pm
Really useful mod, nice job @Frkn64 and thanks for sharing it!
Brulikrax 19 Jan @ 7:42am
Fps drops can't come from this mod. Most likely it is either caused be local mods, save edits, too many graphical ones or all 3 types at once.
vvrcic1 19 Jan @ 3:08am
I am running it with it and have no problems @Vojghi, seems fine to me @Faraday
Abbe07 19 Jan @ 2:06am
Is anyone else experiencing frame drops?
Vojghi 2 Dec, 2024 @ 6:17am
Is it compatible with Realistic Brutal Graphics And Weather, please?
vvrcic1 29 Nov, 2024 @ 11:47am
Any plans on upgrading to 1.53?
Brulikrax 25 Nov, 2024 @ 10:16am
Those need first be updated by SCS.
shimsham29 22 Nov, 2024 @ 8:05pm
I don't know if it is easy to do but if it is, it'd be nice to have the brightness of AI car turn signal lights and then brake lights when braking be increased. I think AI headlights are good while those other two things are a bit too dim when being used. The rear lights when not braking are of a good brightness so it's only when the AI is actually braking where it could be brighter.

@死 Dab., it may not work in two cases:
a/ you are using a mod that is not designed to work with this mod;
b/ your load order is incorrect - this mod is sitting above the physics mods, as it is of the same cat, but needs to loaded above it or similar to that mods.
Dab 5 Nov, 2024 @ 9:33am
@Brulikrax Doesn’t work for me on any trucks for me. Vanilla lights are better. I use Rudas W900 and 389 as well as a few trailers. And this mod doesn’t work at all.
Brulikrax 4 Nov, 2024 @ 10:04am
The mod works as intended as long as you don't use any new trucks, like the last Cascadia model.
Dylon 3 Nov, 2024 @ 10:17am
Anyone notice any improvements with the reverse lights while using this mod... when it is working?
MacCekko 27 Oct, 2024 @ 9:53am
@Dab
No, currently I am on 1.52.0.6s if I am not mistaken with sub-version numbers. Dunno why, it seems better to me using this Mod rather than not. Maybe it's all in my mind, meaning it's an impression of mine. I am sorry, didn't want to interfere in this discussion, but honestly seems to me the Mod is working just fine as it ever did. I am actually using this very Mod since late 2019 (or soon after, cannot remember, anyway it's been a long time) and I am really not noticing any issues, while instead I treasure it so much, because of the poor lights introduced by SCS starting with release of 1.41 in April 2021 and all following releases.
Anyway, I truthfully hope that you find what you are looking for, mate.
Cheers,
Brulikrax 27 Oct, 2024 @ 2:36am
Correct.
Dab 26 Oct, 2024 @ 10:23pm
@MacCekko Maybe you’re still on 1.51? Because I’m on 1.52 and This mod makes everything way dimmer if anything. I can see lights with vanilla way better. I really enjoy this mod, just patiently waiting for an update
MacCekko 26 Oct, 2024 @ 8:32pm
@Brulikrax
Works fine indeed, for me at least. It works well beyond 'nothing', since at least it triples the front lights intensity (vanilla compared is still one third at the least). Maybe you have a MOD incompatibility of some kind? Just wondering...
Dab 25 Oct, 2024 @ 6:11pm
Needs update urgently
Brulikrax 25 Oct, 2024 @ 2:24am
The mod is working alright, but it does nothing. The Vanilla lights are better right now. Both ETS2 and ATS need urgent updates. IDK when this would be. I am not the creator. My advise is to avoid using @Frkn64 mods for at present, until he updates them all as I do.
mr_spider_black 23 Oct, 2024 @ 8:16am
Of course it won't work because the author hasn't updated it yet :)
Dab 23 Oct, 2024 @ 2:20am
not working 1.52
Leich M. 20 Oct, 2024 @ 2:44am
This is 1.52 its happening in
Leich M. 20 Oct, 2024 @ 2:44am
I feel this mod and the non flare ones don't work. On my W900 SCS the side running lights on the cab do not glow on the roadway when in outside view. When inside the cab they show it in the mirrors but thats it.
Brulikrax 16 Oct, 2024 @ 8:30am
No LED, unless the truck model in the game has such.
TheRealHalle 16 Oct, 2024 @ 7:01am
Are they LED?
MadDog69 15 Oct, 2024 @ 5:44pm
Never the less your work is dialed in!
Killer job on this one love the car lights coming up as they pass and traffic lights looks amazing as they pass and fade away.
Thank You!
Thank you for this!

Thanks again(: :approved:
Frkn64  [author] 15 Sep, 2024 @ 11:33am
I've tested the mod with 1.51 and it works fine. You can use it :steamthumbsup:
Ninja117 13 Sep, 2024 @ 10:49am
It's very good, it works.
Brulikrax 12 Sep, 2024 @ 12:37am
I've deleted my post from yesterday. The mod needs an update for 1.51, after testing just in case.
PinolX 11 Sep, 2024 @ 8:17pm
Waiting for 1.51 (: (:approved:) (:denied:)
shimsham29 4 Sep, 2024 @ 12:32pm
Great mod but damn is it a performance hitter when using high beams, at least at 4k with 200% scaling and a Scania S with roof lights and also a roof bar with 4 other lights. I did a test in ATS behind a building and the fps without the mod with high beams was 139. With this mod it was 126, a 9.4% fps drop. The difference with regular lights wasn't as big, going from 144 to 138, a 4.2% fps drop. This is not a criticism towards the mod creator but rather just how the engine is for the two games.

The hit though is worth it as I consider this one of those essential mods for both games. Just hope the engine eventually going multi core will minimize big performance impacts like this.
captainspud85 19 Jul, 2024 @ 3:29pm
@MacCekko Thanks man!
MacCekko 18 Jul, 2024 @ 7:50pm
@CaptainSpud85
It might.
Not as much as in ETS2 (another MOD from the same author, but in ETS2 more lights are available which in ATS are not), and this happens since this MOD basically makes every light source visible on every surface in regard of own vehicle lights, thus making the graphic card work more especially with additional light-sources on roof and front of the truck (only in ETS2 as said, but still...). Anyway even in ATS this MOD still doubles the light sources for the headlights, so experiment a bit. It very well might work flawlessly so ultimately the only way of discovering the results is by trial and error. But trust me, give it a try because it brings very nice results.
Good luck! :)

Does this affect performance? Low end PC gamer here.
