If some of people might noticed something! If you installed this "Mute survivors" make sure you removed it or disabled it on in game. I think that why it causes it to not let survivors talk.

And yes I am a idiot and I didn't notice I have that Mute survivors on! Whoops!

I searched through the comments here and one person said "rename a random file, then rename it back", it helped, I just had to restart my game after I typed the command because I was stuck on a loading screen.. so thank you for the help anyway! <3

Hi! I used that command minimum 1000 times but it never crashed for me. I dont' know why did it for you. Maybe try rebuild without any addons. When i using that command i always empty my workshop folder because other mods can cause problems. Maybe you using other sound mod for Rochelle and it conflicts with my mod? Try to rebuild the original game sound files without any addons. I used in this mod 44100 Hz 16 bits stereo sounds and l4d likes them. All of my sound mods are in this format so it can't be the problem. I hate reinstall games but if nothing helps it has no other choice. Maybe try to reinstall l4d2 and try again to rebuild. If this not use i really don't know what can we do with that problem.

You can extract these files with a little tool, named vpk.exe. For HEX editing i use notepad++ with HEX editor plugin. You must install L4D2 Authoring Tools to get the vpk.exe. When you have the tools, you can find the vpk.exe in steams folder. Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\bin Create a shortcut from it to your desktop and grab&drop the VPK file on it to extract and do the same when you finish to repack. There be another useful tool to open VPK files. GCFScape. You can find it here: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/GCFScape

No. The HEX editor needed to replace guns. For example you want to put the m249 to m16 slot instead of m60 slot. The mag size is in the scripts file. If you download a weapon mod (or any mod) for L4D2 it comes in a VPK file. Usually in the VPK file (if the downloaded mod is a weapon mod) you can see 3-4 folder. materials, models, scripts, sound. Some mods don't have sound or scripts files because of various reasons. If your weapon mod don't have scripts file, just download a single script file for the weapon you want to change.

@creeperpikmin3 But don't worry! If you want to do it yourself trust me it's not a hard thing just takes a lot of time. If you download my sound pack you will have many of D.Va's voice lines. You don't need any program to edit these sound files, you just need to rename and put them in the right place. To do it you must listen almost 2000 soundfiles over and over again and rename every necessary sounds. However you can't change all of Zoey's voice lines ( like i can't in my mod ) because she has about 1900 of them and D.Va has only 400. ( I know she has more but i have 400 of them ) You must duplicate many of D.Va's voice lines to fill Zoey's dialogs. It could happen that you can't find a suitable D.Va sound for one or more of Zoey's dialogs. If it happenes [ and it will happen many times :) ] just delete them. You must delete all of Zoey's sound files what you won't change because if you won't, you will hear them in game. Thats all.

@creeperpikmin3 Look bro. I'm not a modder. I made this voice pack just for my friends and myself and the only reason i upload it because i thought maybe someone else would like it too. My answer for your question is that: maybe... I don't want to promise anything what i can't keep. I glad you like it but i'm not in the mood to make another one because it takes too much time to do. I planned to make a lot of overwatch sound pack for l4d2 but my life is too short to do that. :) I'm so sorry! Maybe someday...

I can't even get sound file downloads to work properly. Every time i try to download them it's either the workshop file only has a .jpg and no vpk file, or there aren't any workshop files at all.

And yet a couple years ago there was a deadpool replacement voicemod for Nick where the only instructions were to install and it worked perfectly -_-

I higured out the problem, My brain farted so i renamed an important file a random name. I corrected the name and...the addon works! Very good, thank you for making this, but when you join or make a game it takes about 20 or 30 seconds to start. But once it starts it works perfectly.
