@kip join the flatscreen to VR modding Discord to get a VR version of the whole game {LINK REMOVED}

I´ve subscribed , where is the original content stored so that I can copy and use as a home environment?

Also who do we need to pay to get a VR version of the game with motion controlls :(

Here's a download link for SteamVR: https://mega.nz/#!MBcFBYgI!ukPK4lPGK3e4iAL-UyrG4BeUESkohVO7YQh7ATFQ7gk Just copy it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\tools\steamvr_environments\content\steamtours_addons
elliotttate 21 Jan, 2020 @ 12:39pm
@Chinese Spy You can copy it over yourself. I have it as my default SteamVR environment
Weird Chap 7 Jul, 2017 @ 9:31pm
Could you copy this over to SteamVR now that SteamVR Home has replaced destinations?
Mr. Snazzypants 1 Feb, 2017 @ 9:25pm
Check out The Foo Show which lets you explore inside the tower while listening to the devs being interviewed actively.

I just thought it was kinda funny reading ThatJaneNg's post again. If the textures for the tower were that large, the entire game could end up in more than just I think it is 3-4GB?
I mean, the game is more than just 1 textured tower without environment.
No offense :steamhappy: :steamhappy:

cool

@Red-Frog, that might be a Destinations bug, we don't have control over that in creating Workshop content
ThatJaneNg  [author] 23 Oct, 2016 @ 1:26pm
@Boosem it probably is due to the very high resolution textures. I will look into reducing some that you can't put right up to your eyes and see if that will help a bit.
Bassem 22 Oct, 2016 @ 12:35pm
Ouch, 920 MB! Would be understandable if this was photogrammetry but it's not, why so large? :(

So, we are getting Firewatch in VR?
You cant tease us with this then not do it!
I will burn all the forests down!!!
RED-FROG 22 Oct, 2016 @ 1:11am
Just too bad some props don't work right. Perhaps their initial/import size is too small?
This happens to everybody trying to hand a prop over to the other hand.
ThatJaneNg  [author] 21 Oct, 2016 @ 11:16pm
@red-frog we have the option to turn off prop scaling but we thought it was really hilarious to create a huge turtle in the room so we kept it :D
rusty_dragon 21 Oct, 2016 @ 6:31pm
Thank you very much. Really great stuff. Like how it reworked with Source 2 engine and it's effects.
Simplistic art style like in Firewatch shine in VR. I'm not a fan of walking sims on flat screen. But in VR with level of details you making.. If you ever make game in VR, It'll be big hit.
Ucasful 21 Oct, 2016 @ 7:13am
nice but if you could do a Steam Envoirment Out of it that would be awesome :steamhappy:
RED-FROG 21 Oct, 2016 @ 7:12am
The props have a bug. You can scale them up and down when holding them with both controllers.
Some items instantly shrink as large as an ant and cannot be scaled up again.
