CAnt wait to try It in Game
I think I'd have to make it so you can't wear armor (take up all slots) to keep it from clipping. I haven't looked much into it, but I don't believe Skyrim would support any system like that (cloth meshes that deform and stretch according to what's beneath them). I've only seen that when messing around in UDK.
Cat, I explained why I'm not going to change the type in my replies to you. If you wish to have a custom fit tailored specifically to you, you will need to make some modifications yourself. I am reluctant to make your specific change and push it to all other subscribers as they probably won't need/want it. Also, I'm confident you have a hairstyle that'll accomodate the hat.
If I downloaded all "900+ hair mods" you have installed and reshaped the hat to fit around all of them, I'd get a hat for big-head-mode and not one like the hat I own.
I'm sorry, but you're going to have to find a hair style that works with this hat if you want that look. Alternatively, you can adjust the offset and slot type to account for the hair style(s) you desire. That way, you get a custom fit. Just open up the Creation Kit to fiddle with the ESP and extract the BSA to make the corresponding changes to the hat's NIF.
