What's the bug? When playing with a friend, when starting a map and entering it, the game just crashed. Cutscenes don't work, on the first map you just hang around GMan.

Overall, it looks like the Half-Life 2 20th Anniversary Update broke a lot of things, with the next map having visual issues with fog and skybox.

@Yarukon , there are also problems in the original campaign of Half-Life 2. For example: when you disable the field on the bridge with trains on the map d2_coast_08 and you need to return to d2_coast_07, the map is simply reloaded, the field is not disabled, antlions not spawn, if you did not destroy the combine gunship on the map d2_coast_08, it will not fly beyond the bridge, it will remain hanging under the bridge, since the transition trigger does not work also all the zombies, headcrabs and combine soldiers will be in their places, despite the fact that you already killed them last time. That is, the map d2_coast_07 is simply reloaded from scratch.

is this gamemode works well with the latest hl2? it seems very buggy with the latest version of hl2, especially the roller mine elevator in ep1_citadel_01, can kill the player instantly once it starts to move, is this gmod's issue or no?

@Gam3r custom maps shouldn't have any default items to spawn with, looks like an oversight, will push a fix but not sure when the next release will be so you can either use the develop workshop entry or use the code from GitHub.

Yea that helped i just made a new collection for it but i think i know the culprit, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2936991877 seemed it caused issues with starting the game, it wasn't intentional but i kinda hoped it would work as the mod doesn't get much use in sandbox.

@XenonTitan most likely shitty addons, remove all of them except Lambda and see if it helps, if you can identify which addon exactly causes the problems then we can look into solving that.

Hey! My friend has really bad ping or lag when playing Lambda specifically, our addons are disabled and he really doesnt lag bad when doing anything else.

@Canadian Morgana, most likely other addons. Also nobody is forcing you to to host a server, it is just recommended its not launched as single player as there some differences when it comes to the code and which functions are called, it may or may not work but thats why there is a warning and not an enforcement.

You can disable the roaches by putting down the slider in the F1/F2 menu of Lambda, or use the command lambda_max_cockroaches 0
