but can you make them into npc's
and hex is just something separate and not reskinned like a player model, ragdolls, or separate NPC's in a different category?
It should be obvious,It's just turning reskins into seperate things.
Do hex models still come with NPC rigging? (Model Manipulator to the rescue...!)
HEXED models are models that usually overwrite files turned into their own standalone file.
For example, I want to download this mod that REPLACES the crowbar with a hammer. If I wanted both the crowbar and the hammer models I would have to hex the hammer to have both models useable.
Are they just NPCs but don't replace the original combine?
Sounds like something to do with modifying the Hexadecimal code of content, but is that actually it?
