reminds me of the negev power loader. this is a good thing bc i love that negev skin

good question. Knowing how to use Photoshop is essential in making skins. Ofcourse you can do it in GIMP but Photoshop is currently the best option. I'd say get familiar in Photoshop and then start working on some weapon skins. Maybe you can start by drawing a skin on paper and then try to redraw it in photoshop to make it easier for yourself :)
