Also, I love the nice 'lil attention to detail, with the iron sight skull; touches like that, that's just lovely c:

YES. Absolutely better. I'm loving this. Perhaps change the barrel, though- but EVERYthing else thus far is looking lovely.

Another update. Going to change workshop thumbnail in a little bit to reflect change.

I love it! Oh it looks absolutely fantastic, compared to those dinky looking skulls. Wonderful job getting it there.

Since you're the only one giving feedback, what do you think about this instead of the skull pattern?

This is the first time I've made a skin in this manner, but I see why they did it this way. There are a shit ton of parts you can snap onto a weapon. You can't change what material things are made out of, but you can apply a different gradient to specific parts if the main gradient isn't exactly what you'd like. There's room for improvement, at least with applying more than one sticker (the cubemap issue with patterns will probably be very difficult to fix). I'll probably be playing with this design for about a week before I exhaust the ideas I have to try to get around this.

Currently I'm trying to replace the skull with the "skullcracker" pattern, so you can try to coordinate your mask with it, but I have to extract the game files to find it and that's taking a bit...

Also wow, I just had the time to like fully digest that mentally- that's ridiculous, that skinning works that way. I'm surprised they don't just have shit work like you can pick apart the separate pieces for the model, and not need to, say, have things wrap around, and all of this crazy junk. It probably takes up less space, sure- but when it comes to quality, Overkill seems to be skimping quite a bit. I mean, heck, it doesn't only show when it comes to skins- but a bunch of shit, really. Well, I'm just glad you're still ambitious about your skin. Let's hope the weirdness of having to use patterns and such doesn't screw over your artistic talent, aye?

Thanks! Hopefully the changes will be smoother than the first iteration... at least I know now that I can't put more than one sticker in a "region" (which is why there's just one skull on the side for now, hah).

Alrighty then; good luck. Hopefully it turns out lovely. c:

I got some different plans for this tomorrow, but just for reference: things like the grip are one solid piece, so you can't really "paint" them without using a pattern (which doesn't always work; the magazine's right side is inverted so the pattern doesn't cleanly wrap) or a sticker if you're just adding a splotch of color somewhere. Some things use different materials like wood/rubber or cloth even though they aren't really made of those materials, but not on all components (some sights use them, some sights are rather plain with material distribution), so I'll play around a bit more and see if I can get it looking a little more polished. The Clarion in general seems to be kind of buggy when it comes to degredation, and the mint setting seems to look a little scratchy. I'll update the workshop graphics when I make the changes tomorrow.

Now that I think of it: perhaps try to add accents on the top rail, yeah? Just some lines, here and there; maybe some streaks, on the lower body of it.

If you'd like some honest criticism, the skull on the rail of the sights looks a bit ridiculous; the top of it is just a bit too large. I'd make the skull smaller; however, the pattern of them together on the mag doesn't look half bad. Perhaps the placement of it just looks awkward, to me. Perhaps turn it diagonally to the foregrip of the rifle? Maybe add more details to it; perhaps give it glowing eyes, which can either glow or fade depending on the degredation of the skin. Also, I would add a few more red accents here and there to the rifle; perhaps on the base grip, and to the stock.
