Great car, but the virtual mirror is completely Off center. You can't see what's behind.
How can that be fixed?

A superlative mod! This remains my favorite car in the entire sim to date.

I've read Brian Redman's book where he describes driving this car on historical Spa and his descriptions line up extremely well with the performance of the car in the sim.

I'm a fan of vintage cars/racing. Having tried almost everything that is available on this category in this sim, I can say that, at least to me, this one is the BEST vintage car that rF2 have until now. The guys doing it nailed every aspect. Of course I never drove one in real life, but judging the handling by several videos available on the Internet (and also the classic Le Mans), I can say that I've never experienced something so close to what I saw, specially on the tire/handling characteristics.
Congratulations, and a sincere thanks for this fantastic job.

Since the update this mod is by far the best 917 experience I've ever had.

It may sound strange, but you can actually drive the car as it is showcased in old footage from 1970's or the movie "Le Mans" (where the actual drivers were behind the wheel anyway).

The car drifts and swings when you turn in, it is blasting out of the bend in a controlled drift... it's a pure pleasure to drive...

Sure, the 917 in other simulations may have more sophisticated, detailed models with a more authentic sound.
The AI buddies seam to struggle to go really fast.
But that's cosmetics.
This 917 is the real deal.
Drive this car on tracks like Spa 1966, Monza 1966 or any other historic track - and you feel like Jo Siffert or Pedro Rodríguez - or at least like Steve McQueen... ;)

Fantastic mod, one of the most enjoyable to drive out there, its great to see it updated! Yoss, one question, for some reason with this mod the AI is not that competitive, I usually race at 100% but with the 917k I can easily be 4s ahead in one lap at Suzuka for example, is this a known issue?

Yep, awesome fun. Running at Le Grande in the F3 Fanatics this week.

I still take laps in this car quite often. Sometimes with the original tires, and sometimes with a tire mod and slight aero changes I've made that more closely replicate the characteristics described (and tested on rF2) by a friend of mine who did some prep work and drove one at Rennsport a few years back. Its simply an outstanding classic I'll always enjoy.

I have been having trouble keeping it from drifting. The AI starts off very strong but fades as the race progresses. In this video, the AI is set to 103%. I finished with almost 20 seconds on P2. By the way, I loved GT Lengends and would love to see more vintage cars in RF2. The Selby Daytona Coupe NEEDS to be in RF2!!!

This is a fantastic car. Thank you all very much for this excellent contribution to RF2. I've been going at it for two days and I've finally gotten the hang of it. It plays well with the Houston cars and the T70.

In my opinion, this is the car that gave me the best FFb of all times in all sims I have tried so far. The best of all!

@sjb266 Have you tried running a single AI in practice mode so it can "learn"? That's how you can train any AI in any car on any track

This car is very nice. For those who feel it drives like a boat... guess what... these cars did.
But could it please get a DX11 update ? The instrument pointers look like butterflies now, which is a shame for this great mod.
