Do not have narrow street. only road mods i use is sparkys american road and bridge and parking lot mods. I only use the assets in towns, not outside where I place airports.

@sndl2012 There is another mod out there making all streets (including vanilla) more narrow. This causes the connections to move in the airport. Disable the narrow street mod.

@Gwinda yup, even set them to specific types of cargo when I noticed they didn't pick anything up. (That also worked with trucks or trains that seemed picky at whet they'd pick up)

And you are sure you are using the freight version of the planes?

@Gwinda, my cargo airports are all located right next to a freight station. They never picked anything up from them. I even tried forcing it by adding truckstops, but notining worked.

I still kept them around because it was a cool idea, and it looked pretty nice aswell.

It works for many gamers. Remember that TPF1 has NO SUPPORT for freight air plains for obvious reasons. It might not work under some circumstances (to expensive, to slow etc.). The best option is to put a station close to the airports to be sure they are within reach. Make sure there is a steady flow of cargo and no competing lines to the destination (cheaper and faster).

It's basically some tweaking to make it work and in most cases it does.

This mod dont work anymore I try it many times and nothing hapen execpt losing money.

It doesn't crash for the majority of the other players. Have you tried to disable all other mods and only run this one? It might be another mod making it crash.

the mod crashes the game in the later versions of transport fever 2 update the mod and fix the issues

Yes, or train. Any stop has a far wider catch area than any airport or factory.

@Gwinda, do you mean a truck stop as close as possible to the airport ?

Because the range is short due to the distance the terminals are at (in relation to the road connection), you might need a station close to it. Stations has by far longer range. I always use a truck station connected next to it.

Can confirm the remark made by DomDiamus, so i am using this only i a free game just for fun.

Unfortunatly it only seem to work if is close or directly connected to the producer and also close/directly connected to the receiver... If happens to have truck stations in between and the airport not connected/near the receivers then won't work... not mods fault but just pure game stupid logic

Ya this is the most epic fail airport on here. This thing doesnt work for shit. ive spent countless hours trying to get these cargo airports to work exactly as described but they dont worl worth a damn

none of these can work, because the open area, still has a people icon. if you connect a Truck stop to the freight airport, it says not possible to link a bus stop to a different type of service. made three sets of food freight airports this evening and six planes, and had to dismantle the whole lot, because the airport hasn't the correct square box to enable freight. ??.

the game just crashes for me when using this mod

Just a tip for anyone that has an issue with making money from cargo planes. Drop the max speed in the boeing_757_F.mdl file to make it 250mph. You'll find lines are much more happy to use the routes then...and the difference to you watching the planes is pretty negligible.

This mod is awesome. I produce everything in Madrid and export by truck, train or plane to other cities. I use industry tycoon to create factories closer to Madrid and haul the raw materials from where ever they are located in the map.

you need to create the demand on the other city. E.g., a depot in the commercial area and a depot next to the airport. The first flight will go and come back empty, as it comes back you can see the bread piling up in the exporter city airport.
