With the upcoming hinted crafting menu UI changes, I suspect this mod will be defunct/no longer needed. So investing into the mod with more features wouldn't be something I'd be doing.

this mod is awesome!! is there anyway it can be made to work with The Architect Pack? Because there are so many tabs from all the possible build menus its impossible to see what menu you are in. It would be great to actually be able to see. Great work!

I ran into a bug where not only did I constantly have a seasonal/temporary crafting tab open at all times, but the actual tab was random and blocked the space where a tab should actually be, meaning I couldn't craft anything but what was randomly selected. (Mostly Mad Science or Bottles trading tabs.) Despawning myself fixed it, but I wanted to save my map data...but I couldn't craft maps, because I couldn't access the tab. I was about to give up when I came across this mod, hoping that being able to see all the tabs would allow me to craft a map and go despawn myself, but instead this mod just straight up fixed the bug. No idea how or why, it just worked. 10/10 best mod. Bless you.

This doesn't add in all of the other character crafting tabs, just splits out the stacked tabs for what Klei categorizes 'seasonal' crafting content and the like where there's never going to be multiple crafting stations active at once.

Thats upsetting... I'm playing as Warly and my spices tab gets overlapped by mods and it makes me sad

Mmm yeah, it's not adjusting anything so it relies on Klei's baseline code to do the proper shuffling around of the tiles. Default Klei tabs all sort of stack on top of one another leaving them all contained in the UI element but really condensed as of late with how many tabs Klei keeps adding in.
I suspect one of the mods is altering the layout function to make their own mod look good and neglects to check if things go out of bounds from things introduced by other mods.

when I tried using this mod, due to multiple mod tabs taking up the same spot, the crafting tab just kinda... extends infinitely off the top and bottom of my screen, i cant scroll, i cant see the tools tab or anything above the structures tab

Unfortunately I didn't take the log, but I have another world I could try to replicate this error in. I don't want to lose it though, so if you could guide me into duplicating a save file, I could try it with the "copy" maybe provide you a log in case it happens again

That's a good question, as this mod doesn't interface with anything like that at all. It just removes the equal sort order that's only used for displaying purposes.

Hi. I activated this mod on a previously generated world, and despite it being a client-side mod, it deleted it! the world was regenerated with the same surface seed, caves were removed (but server mods weren't) and I was taken back to the character selection screen. How was this possible?!

instead of using the long-winded "ThePlayer.components.builder:GiveAllRecipes()", an easier command would be "c_frecrafting()". if anyone already mentioned this, my bad

Ah, I see.

The sheer amount of tabs being split into their own slot is too big for the edited UI to handle. The base game UI shifts each tab's position such that it doesn't prevent overlap from happening, but one of the TE mods looks like it does and so they're getting shoved way up so the icons don't overlap.

I don't see any easy method to fix this other than to interfere with their mod's changes, and at that point it's a cat and mouse whether or not the other mod maker(s) will play nice-nice, too.

Alas, this will have to be an option for that mod's config file to disable their edits rather than me edit their edits to undo.

It might have something to do with Tropical Experience making the area on the side larger for more tabs. When enabling all the TE mods and this one, Every tab above science is off the screen.

Yup- it got squished in there, too.
The way I'm handling this is a generic table sorting based on same weights. By default same weights stack the tiles in the menu at the left, so this mod makes them have their own unique weight to keep them apart.

Eventually if Klei keeps adding tabs then there's going to be so little room to actually see any one given tab. That'll be the day that I ask Klei to rework their menu a bit to be more friendly to users.

The menu system in single player Don't Starve has a lot of old code and some hotglue around. It'd be a bit of an undertaking to port over some of its features that were introduced in Hamlet for DST be it rewriting the menu to support it or having new assets to do it.

This mod here is a simple table weight changing and sorter, very lightweight and pretty hands off for the heavy lifting. This makes it more robust for future updates if Klei keeps to this system.

So, in the end, unfortunately I don't have enough free time to do such a port. Perhaps someone who is more into the art style of the game could do it, like Fluffled Bee Queen on the Klei forums.

Great mod! and now you can craft Tribute Roast,Fish Heads on a Stick and Eight Treasure Mud Pie(for bait) in the offering tab after the pig king event!

Can you make an option that only the ancient tab and offering tab get their own slot?

You could, but then you're relying on the wheel when you could just click with this mod enabled directly. Some people don't even have a scroll wheel, and I feel pity for those users.

No, you'll have to do that yourself. This just lets you see all of the tabs in their own spot on the hotbar for the special crafting table spot that normally takes up one spot.
