This mod doesn't do anything to the default crosshair by the way, might want to look for the root cause elsewhere.
If you were talking about the melee crosshair, then unsubscrive from the related mod.
Basically, consult the description of this mod.
1. GCFScape [nemesis.thewavelength.net].
2. VTFedit [nemesis.thewavelength.net].
3. Any image editor (paint . net would be the easiest solution.
4. L4D2 Authoring tools.
~ Unpack my addon with GCFScape.
~ Find the crosshair vtf file, convert it to tga using VTFedit.
~ Open the converted crosshair image in the image editor.
~ Draw your crosshair and center it.
~ Save to .tga and convert to .vtf using VTFedit.
~ Modify addoninfo.txt to reflect your addon's changes (name, description etc.)
~ Make sure your folder looks exactly like my addon's folder [after unpacking that is]
~ Download and Install Left 4 Dead Authoring Tools, then navigate to the steam directory where you have L4D2. Go to steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\bin.
~ Find "VPK.exe" and create a shortcut for it (on your desktop or near the newly edited folder).
~ Take the addon (yours) folder and put it onto the shortcut. It will auto-pack the .vpk
~ Place the newly created .vpk file to left4dead2/addons or publish it on workshop with Authoring tools.
I tried to fix it, but it just wouldn't allign properly. But I've tested in the games and it doesn't make you less accurate one bit (and I always use it, 90% of the time I play with t1 weapons).
