Seems to work fine in 2.0

@thenuclearwalrus,@Dyss that is true however, in some cases walrus is correct in that it is sometimes better to survey systems yourself, as for example the tradition that gives you a bit of science everytime you survey a planet does not count if you buy a map from another empire

I'd really like this mod changed, so that the Order Queue isn't deleted.
Sabateur 27 Mar, 2017 @ 8:31pm
Actually @thenuclearwalrus once a place has been scanned once, its anomaly chance has rolled already, and there won't be another roll. How would it make sense if the second time around, someone found a unique gravitational pattern or geographical anomaly? They wouldn't have missed that the first time around.
thenuclearwalrus 29 Jan, 2017 @ 3:57pm
Because if you buy maps you cannot get anomalies from those systems anymore. If you survey them yourself you can find anomalies and get some rewards or ships from them. Just because one person went through a system and found none doesn't mean you cant, otherwise the modifier +10% anomaly discovery chance wouldn't matter.

why would people even need to use auto explore?
i find it sad that i dont need any exploring anymore after the first 30 minutes, cause i just buy either maps from other empires....
and use my sience ships to assist my research hubs anyways lel

One way that I'd improve this mod would be to extend the behavior to all other non-combat ships, including construction ships, colony ships, and troop transports.
tc28721 11 Dec, 2016 @ 3:39am
maby you could make a kind of ship that explores but can also defend its self?
tc28721 11 Dec, 2016 @ 3:37am
hey can you make it where more primitives are in the galaxy i dont think the one with those mods out there is updating them
Maximum Gamer 29 Nov, 2016 @ 3:47am
Good mod but is there anyway you could make the art more immersive? Just kinda takes away from thespcae vibe when a pciture of Inspector Gadget pops up. Thanks.

Oh yeah, there is nothing in the engine that would allow this for you to mod, guess that's why the evasion-mechanic so bad to begin with.

Thanks for trying to improve it tho.

Yes, that's how the mod was when I started it but with the functionality we are afforded it's quite difficult, you see.

My plan would have worked I think, but I am not too confident that it would be reliable without a looooot of testing.

The main problem is that solar systems are not a constant size, and calculating the size is exceptionally difficult, if not downright impossible.
The second problem is that there's no way to measure angle to target, as far as I know, and addons can only order ships to move towards planetary objects specifically, or any system in general - not in a specific direction or towards empty space.
akeean 27 Nov, 2016 @ 8:19pm
If now ships would consider the location of hostiles in that system to decide which way they head outside the gravity well, that'd be great.

I've had ships die too often already because they "evaded" right into the arms of an enemy fleet. Had my ships gone in another direction (to a farther side of the gravwell), they'd likely made it, or at least cost those skirmishers more time, as they'd be in the middle of the system instead conveniently still almost at open space.

Thank you man :-)

Just tryed this mod and I love it.

Its just stupid that ships just retreat and forget all their other orders. Now I have at lest the oppurtunity to reassign them directly and not to figure out first which ship of my vast empire retreatet recently.

Upvoted!

Keep your good work up and up to date.

Thank you very much folk!
You are a great moder.

This is a must have mod!

High praise indeed! I would happily accept lower tax rates next fiscal year as recompense for my efforts! ;-)
