@Xanadu-King - send for me save

Yeah, I fulfill all of those requirements, but the Ring isn't showing up as a possible construction.

@Xanadu-King - province and owner must be Avar. Ruler must be independent and province must be capital

Hey, byzsla,

Are you only able to build the Avar Ring during the 769 start date? I ask because I recreated the lands of Pannonia under the Feudal Avars of 867 and the ability to build The Ring seems to be missing.

Or do you have to be Tengri to build it? In which case, can you open it up to just being Avar culture?

Xanadu-King - because historical Ring was conected with Avar capital. So maybe another option?

Hi, So I am curious, I love the building you added in, the Ring, but rather than having it be a separate building that requires Avar culture and can only be built by the highest teired ruler, why don't you turn it into a culture specific Retinue Buliding, like the Riding Grounds. The generic Riding Grounds is what is used for all Iranian and Altaic cultures who don't have special unit types. I think it would be cool if the Ring replaced the Riding Grounds for the Avars, you could simply remove the requirement to summon a Tribal Horde from them being Tengri Pagan and reduce the cost of recruiting them to make up for the loss of the Ring as a Prestige building.

IRL 3 invasions of the Franks destroyed the khaganate. Only Byzantium and Caliphates could survive these attacks. But in standard game Avars are not destroyed by the Franks only by barbarians, Longobards or Byzantines.

Sic transit gloria mundi, they were once powerful, but when CK2 actually takes place they had lost most of their previous glory, with this mod installed Avaria would probably exist far longer than it actually did IRL. Detecting an obvious bias from you @Byzsla

@Richy you can't use charlemagne as a standard for badassness, everyone who he set his sights uppon got their ass whoped, the only ones who got away either paid him tribute or he had no interest/ was too old to attack

I cannot understand your slang but try. 1. No one is invincible. "Badass" is not this same like a "invincible". 2. Someone who beat badass, there not must be a badass. In fall of khaganate the most important was a revolt of the Slavs. Leader was Samon. Currently, little-known person. Next - advanced Roman Empire have been defeated in the Teutoburg Forest by primitive Germans. Everyone says that Rome was a first superpower. No one will say that the ancient Germans were a superpower. 3. Not every power is badass. For me badass-state is state aggressive guy, robber "to push and shove". In film as a black character. Charlemagne's empire did not work that way. Please give your definition and I will can to say something more about it.

does it matter? they still got their ass beat by charlemagne

u call them badass yet you dont call other peoples who didnt get their ass whooped badass. bias?
byzsla  [author] 15 Mar, 2017 @ 1:16pm
@sindre the hedgehog - did you know that the Franks existed before the Charlemagne? Eg. 566 full victorious war against the Franks - in this time Charlemagne does not exist. And have you read my whole my post? 9 sentence, counted from the end...
Lars 15 Mar, 2017 @ 12:54pm
they lost to charlemagne dude, u are delusional owned
byzsla  [author] 15 Mar, 2017 @ 12:11pm
@sindre the hedgehog - they were. They defeated the Franks, Bavarians, Byzantines, Slavs, etc. If not for sabotage and rebellion of Slavs, they could conquer Constantinople. They were destroyed by the great revolt of the Slavs supported by the invasion of Charlemagne. The argument style "They were not badass, because now they do not exist" is senseless. Where are the Scythians? Where are the Khazars? Where are the Medes? Where are the Huns? Peoples are overcome and next assimilated. This applies to both large and small nations. I suggest more history lesson than hours in games, If you want to talk about history...

no they werent badass, where are they now? thats right
ניגה 12 Mar, 2017 @ 8:15am
@byzsla - Thanks! I don't have a lot of knowledge on central europe during the antiquity, so this explanation makes sense.
byzsla  [author] 11 Mar, 2017 @ 11:44pm
@The ClubberFuck - nomads from Far East. They were enslaved by Huns and go to Europe. After the fall of Huns they were looking for a new home. Join to Longobards to anti-Gepids (they have state in Panonia) alliance. At end - Avars had agreed with the Lombards, that Pannonia take Avars and Lombards go further west.

Speaking of Avars, may I have a brief summary on who they were and how they got to the carpathian plains?
