@FaNtOm You can easily find a guide about it.
@MLG Toast I'm planning to release these levels as regular Jacket levels in a collection in this summer.

how do you put a picture in workshop?

I plan to give it a go, glad to give some contribution!
Yaerveth  [author] 23 Jan, 2017 @ 11:28am
Thanks for the feedback! I fixed most of them in ACT II, I recommend you to give it a shot. About S rank... Well, even if I set it to a higher score, it doesn't work. I think it's a bug of the level editor. I'm trying to fix all spelling errors and typos with the help of my testers but there might be some that I forgot. Thanks for the feedback again!

I get that ACT II has been released already, but screw it, I'm gonna list some pros and cons.
Sorry if I'm being picky, but try to work on these in ACT III if they're not being taken into consideration.

Pros:
'Alright' Story
Pretty good level design
Not too short/long

Cons:
A few spelling errors
Oscar mask makes things so hard to see, a bit annoying
Scummy enemy placement in some areas, especially prevelent in Vendetta
Some characters will clip through doors
S rank score is set to 0, could be set higher. Maybe ask some friends or testers to get a high score and pick the highest to set as the S rank?

Again, sorry if I'm being picky, but theres a lot of trash maps on here, at least you know how to make levels similar in aesthetic to Dennaton. Unlike most people who just make a plain bare laiden area with enemies being the main object of decoration.

Edgy protagonist that's just another jackt with different mask.
Too many cliches.
Not really bad level design but hard to see anything just like Miami Falls Act 3.
Yaerveth  [author] 8 Jan, 2017 @ 12:29pm
You can expect it 1 week later! 5 levels are done and 2 left to make!
Xtrian 19 Dec, 2016 @ 5:44pm
that was absoulutly perfect
Wanderer 14 Dec, 2016 @ 12:06pm

That cliffhanger is insane. Good job on the campaign, though. Really good level design. Both the dialogue and the story are very well written, too. Can't wait until you release part 2.
Yaerveth  [author] 19 Nov, 2016 @ 6:57am
Thanks! I'm glad you guys enjoyed the campaign!

ACT II is in development. I'm done with 2 levels and some intros and outros and there has been a change of plans. I decided to add one Oscar level for ACT II. It won't be a long level so, don't worry about your eyes LOL!
Karlson Peter 19 Nov, 2016 @ 6:24am
That was really intense. I really liked the third level with the LSD Son effects . Your levels are well designed and I like the structure. The story looks great too even if it's only the beginning.

The only thing i disliked is that my eyes hurt with the oscar mask XD

You sure worked a lot on those levels.

I hope you'll continue! I'm waiting for part II ^^
Yossarian the Assyrian 4 Nov, 2016 @ 8:17am
A good campaign overall. The 3rd and 4th levels really stood out above the first two. The plot was interesting and left me wanting more. I would suggest shortening your dialogue or cutting it off between sections. The use of "..." to continue sentences got difficult to read after a while. The soundtrack was nice, too. I hope you continue this, as I'm curious about what the true purpose of the experiments on Oscar was.
Dalboa 2 Nov, 2016 @ 5:00pm
also, something that i'd enjoy in the next act is a custom made character, rather than the vanilla player
Yaerveth  [author] 1 Nov, 2016 @ 1:56pm
Oscar won't be the playable character in second act so, you'll get to see a lotta good designed levels I hope.
Boucher Charcutier 1 Nov, 2016 @ 1:45pm
Yes its goes well whith your character but that hurt bad the really good maps
Yaerveth  [author] 1 Nov, 2016 @ 12:48pm
@Nerdy Sorry to hear that. I know that playing with this mask is difficult and it's really annoying so that's why I only made 3 levels with it. Too bad you gave up on the second level, tho. I hope you'll enjoy the second ACT when it come out. You won't be playing as Oscar in ACT II.

@B3AR Because I thought this mask fits very well with the character I planned on my mind.
Boucher Charcutier 1 Nov, 2016 @ 10:19am
Why this mask
Katt 1 Nov, 2016 @ 9:56am
I kind of gave up on the second scene. Not trying to sound like an asshole but with my least favorite mask I found it complicated to get through the levels. Don't get me wrong, I love the concept with everything being all dark as if the scenes were, y'know, a nightmare. But I do believe that the campaign campaign can maybe use a wee-bit improvements, other than that, I think it was decently good. :^)

you hurry up with act 2 HOROZ!

Some mystery is a good thing :)

Thank you for your feedback!

I know dialogue has some typos, grammatical error and such problems like that and that's because English is not my first language but I think they're not so 'bad' to prevent you from understanding what's going on.

I don't know why but I felt like I needed to do a lotta exposition because I wanted players to understand what's going on. Even though I did a lotta expositions, there are still some people haven't understood what's going on with Oscar and other people in the campaign but I'm sure everything will be crystal clear after the second act.

Thank you for your feedback again and I'll keep those in mind! :TheRooster:
Molotov Milkshake 30 Oct, 2016 @ 7:35am
Not bad, man.

Potential improvements:

-The dialogue was a little cliché at times, with quite a few spelling and grammar errors. I understand that English is not your first language though, so don't worry too much about this.

-A little too much exposition at times. You could have told the same story with more implications and less dialogue. Your target audience can appreciate subtle references, and you don't need to spell everything out for us to understand what's going on.

Praise:

+I enjoyed the level design. Your levels were well detailed, although we probably missed a lot of that detail in the first couple of levels due to Oscar's blindness. I am very glad that not every level was in darkness though.

+Cut scene actions were good.

+Great work on using special effects such as the gas, disco lights, the 'Richard filter' and the LSD effect. Like I said, I haven't even used these things yet myself.
Yaerveth  [author] 28 Oct, 2016 @ 1:36pm
Thank you!

It took me 1.5 month to do and it was supposed to be at least 7 levels but I had some problems with the mods so I decided to make only 4 levels for this act. Expect more levels in second act, tho!
flowers for your troubles 28 Oct, 2016 @ 1:15pm
Nice job lad, that must have took a really long time to do.
Molotov Milkshake 28 Oct, 2016 @ 12:21am
Cheers. I'm looking forward to giving this one a blast tonight.
Yaerveth  [author] 27 Oct, 2016 @ 9:53pm
Thanks! I will check them out when I get a chance!
Molotov Milkshake 27 Oct, 2016 @ 4:54pm
Not gonna bother with the music mod, but I'm gonna play this through tomorrow night and check it out. I look forward to doing so.

If you get a chance, please check my campaigns out too :)
Yaerveth  [author] 26 Oct, 2016 @ 10:34pm
Hey, thank you for your comment! Glad you enjoyed it! There will be probably one more Oscar level in the final act and I'll keep those in mind.
Danny Judas 26 Oct, 2016 @ 9:54pm
Solid. Your levels' playable areas are much too cluttered, though. Try to keep rooms open and easy to navigate, especially with the Oscar mask. Furthermore, avoid placing darkly colored enemies on darkly colored floors (E.G. No dogs or fats on black tiles). Overall, I feel like I enjoyed it, and it shows some potential- especially your cutscene scripting.
ihop employee 26 Oct, 2016 @ 5:00pm
Yeah I noticed that. Tbh I think it's not as good as Oscar's story in Miami Falls, but I thought it was still fun. And the level design fitted Oscar well. Good job.
Dalboa 26 Oct, 2016 @ 4:56pm
ok!
Yaerveth  [author] 26 Oct, 2016 @ 4:56pm
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

You just gotta extract that file inside and drag it into the Steam>steamapps>Hotline Miami 2 folder. Don't forget to take a copy of the original hlm2_music_desktop.wad, tho!
Dalboa 26 Oct, 2016 @ 4:53pm
a pretty fun campaign! i couldn't play it with the music mod because it's a .rar file (and i don't know how to use those), but still really enjoyed it! can't wait for the other acts!
Yaerveth  [author] 26 Oct, 2016 @ 4:19pm
Thanks, glad you liked it!

Miami Falls was great, really enjoyed it. There might be some resemblances since both "Oscars" are mutating into something else but this Oscar is not exactly mutating, he's just losing his mind.
ihop employee 26 Oct, 2016 @ 4:07pm
It reminds me of Miami Falls Act 3...

except good.
robracer97 26 Oct, 2016 @ 11:28am
I look forward to it!
Yaerveth  [author] 26 Oct, 2016 @ 11:15am
Thank you all for the comments!

Well, sorry to hear that but Oscar had to be in the first act but don't worry, next act will be about the other victim that connected to Oscar. So, there will be no "eye-fucks" in the second act LOL.
robracer97 26 Oct, 2016 @ 11:09am
Very well made, unfortunatly that mask is going to give me fucking cataracts
