Any reason why it's so foggy? Always like DRO, and I can appreciate how multiple elements slow things down, but it's practically unplayable with such a limited distance

Hey mbrdmn, just a heads up, I think you left the debug enabled on the missions when you updated them today. I've played on a couple different maps and it tells me when reinforcements are deployed via a hint and puts an orange marker on the map where I assume they're coming from.

Joshua Graham - Independant factions should work fine - I haven't tried ION myself but there also isn't a sound effect tied to any of the error messages for side selection, so I'm not sure what's going on there. The only thing I can think of would be that you're trying to run a mission where both players and enemies are factions from the same side.

Is there a way to use factions that are under "independant" in the missions? whenever I try to use the ION PMC faction from the CUP mod, even when I spam the play button, it plays a sound that seems to mean "nope, you can't do that." I would very much like to use some of the independant factions, that is if it's actually possible.

I read below that you used the ORBAT tool. Did you create them in that? If so then I suspect that they will not work.

What I've done as a temp fix is just place the units in editor, and use arsenal to get an exact copy of all their kits and then use that- works fine. As for a real fix, I can't say yet.

Any faction you have set to 'enemy' works completely fine, without issues, but the player faction is still broken.

I used ALiVE ORBAT for making them, so I'm using whatever the default is for that.

That definitely sounds like its an issue related to the setUnitLoadout function then. DRO uses setUnitLoadout with the unit classname as its parameter so it's possibly an issue with the config file for your faction units - you could make sure the equipment defined in their configs is set up exactly like the BIS units are as well as testing setUnitLoadout on them in a blank editor scenario.

Both factions work as normal when AI controlled/ as OPFOR for the mission, and they work fine in all other missions.

OK- it seems like it does only happen on the player faction, and the gear looks like it resets to the default (Infantry) inside their inventories- In my case, when playing as BLU it was the default NATO rifleman, and playing as INDEP was AAF rifleman.

Yeah- the intresting part is that non-player sided factions (OPFOR factions) I have made work fine, and have all the custom ammo-types I have given them. Give me 10M and I'll test those, see if it's only affecting player factions.

Hmm, yeah it's probably DRO if your faction works elsewhere, though I'm not immediately sure what the problem is. DRO uses the getUnitLoadout and setUnitLoadout script commands to change the gear of the player team so you might want to have a play around with those and see if they give the incorrect gear in a blank scenario. Let me know what you find out!

Curious as to how the faction data is used when you select a custom faction- I have made a faction myself with SMA weapons/VSM gear and upon selecting them as BLU, when ingame their kit inventory is re-set to vanilla BLUFOR inventory (MX magazines and such) - The faction is workig fine in all other scenarios, zeus, ALiVE and editor, so it could be something to do with how Recon Ops handles the faction.

Is there a way to disable the cleanup? It really bugs me how bodies disappear after a while, it kills the immersion and I often use bodies as landmarks.
