Why not increase it by a generous +4? like everything produced +4 their original value? Or something?

That's very generous but keep in mind, I have 150+ games in my library so money is definitely not the problem :) I just never liked the idea of robots and aliens in Civ games and that's the reason I never bought it. I'm even using mod for removing x-com and robot units from Civ5.
And I agree that both Civ5 and BE will still go on for a long time

Hmmm - what if you would get a donation during winter sale with BE and all expansions ;-D? In the state Civ VI is in I think Civ 5 and BE wil still go a long time...

If it stiil doesn't show up then I'm afraid I'm all out of ideas. My guess is, there are some steam/civ5 issues as a lot of people are having these problems. Try subscribing to it from ingame mod menu and just leave it there for a couple of minutes. Some did say it started the download after some time. Other than that, there's nothing else I can do.

As for BE, I would love to make mods, but I do not own the game

Just another request - would you make all your mods for beyond earth as well? That would be great! ;-D

That's strange. Did you put it in your MODS folder? Run the game and alt+tab out and check if the mod is still in there. And keep the subscription here on steam. Hmmm, do not kow what I am doing wrong ut copied the file in the mods folder as you wrote and still nothing shows in my mod list - the name would be the one of the file, right?

sadly not. you'll have to start a new game. And if you disable mod later on, the buildings you built will still generate happiness from the mod

The download works right now with any mod - alos your other ones except this one - kinda strange - its really only this mod that does not download right now - maybe something with steam? Thanks for all your effort! Have started a test game without this mod for now and is still enjoyable just the happiness will be a problem in forseeable future ;-D

A lot o people have problems with this , it seems.
Try this first...
1. Turn off the game.
2. Delete the "Civ5ModsDatabase.db" from "Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache."
3. Launch the game and go to the mod section again.

If this doesn't help I'll upload a mod for you to manually download as soon as I get home
