Thanks a lot, I appreciate that. Yeah it was fun, and for a while it served a real purpose.

RIP Was a fantastic mod

Historically the Medieval Engineer version of email...
Rest in peace, sweet mod. :mortis:

This one would be a beast to try to remake. All of the definitions would need to be changed over to the new versions, and then all of the hitboxes would have to be redone since they wouldn't fit right into the world anymore. I think sadly this mod is done. :(
Teddybear72N 7 Mar, 2019 @ 7:06am
Really wish you remake it, i miss it .-)
TheBoot 9 Jun, 2017 @ 4:40pm
I wouldn't get too draconian on mount points. Right now I've been using the wall tiles to label chests. You can fit 6 tiles across the front. I'll also put a letter on the end of barrels to indicate what's inside. Works great. Big thumbs up for this mod.

@kienata -- If you're using the modded letter blocks in your world, check it out. Big new update. Lots of optimizing, hopefully will have a good impact on performance!
Kienata 31 Mar, 2017 @ 4:42pm
I can do both, I can also simply send you a copy of my changes if you wanna re-upload. Itll be 99.9% your work anyway!~
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 31 Mar, 2017 @ 9:50am
Hey Kienata. I think that's a nice idea. Sure, just please give a pointer to this original mod in your server's notes so people can see where it came from.
Kienata 29 Mar, 2017 @ 2:04pm
I wanted to limit it to JUST the blocks. Thats it really. I just want to ensure we have the smallest addition possible. Also some of the placements for other blocks could be abused (mount points)
by some of the more sneaky players :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 28 Mar, 2017 @ 1:39pm
Thanks much Kienata! What kind of changes are you thinking?
Kienata 28 Mar, 2017 @ 1:33pm
Love this mod. I would like permission to make some changes to the mod then upload it as part of a server package! MUCH LOVE <3
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Jan, 2017 @ 8:17pm
Great news! I'm glad it's working again. And thanks, I need to add some new YouTube content. But I keep having to start over with the reconstructions coz of big changes in the game code
TheBoot 9 Jan, 2017 @ 7:54pm
Looks like it was damaged. Deleting and redownloading did the trick! Thanks for following up. Took a look at your YouTube page too. Cool stuff!
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Jan, 2017 @ 7:28pm
That should be the right size. It uses only a small texture file so it was never big. Tomorrow AM I'll reupload it. In the meantime, can you try unsubscribing, deleting the sbm file on your hard drive, & then resubscribing? Since other people can still use it, I wonder if your copy got damaged by Steam when it downloaded
TheBoot 9 Jan, 2017 @ 6:49pm
I didn't create this world until after the farming update was released. I do have an idea though. The mod (.sbm) files are basically zip files correct? I can open one of the others by changing the extension from .sbm to .zip, but when I tried yours I got an error saying invalid or damaged archive. File size is listed as 532 KB. Is this correct?
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Jan, 2017 @ 6:38pm
That must be frustrating! How old is the world that you tried to add it to? I have had a few old worlds from November & early December that now sre giving me various headaches.
TheBoot 9 Jan, 2017 @ 6:32pm
I've looked everywhere. They don't show up in ANY crafting menu. Not in the crafting table, smithy, personal crafting, nowhere. I also tried disassembling the crafting table and building a new one. That didn't work either. I figure there's some internal conflict somewhere that the game isn't telling me about or something. I'll try and find the game's debug log and see if there's anything there.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Jan, 2017 @ 5:22pm
They do not show up from your G menu
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Jan, 2017 @ 5:22pm
The character blocks are craftable from a crafting table. You need to open up the crafting menu from a crafting table
TheBoot 9 Jan, 2017 @ 4:34pm
Mods are added but nothing is in my build menu.
Mods Added
No Character blocks
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Jan, 2017 @ 4:32pm
The blocks will show up in Survival on your crafting table. They should be available right away, not gated behind anything.

Main Menu > Load World > (Select a save), Edit Settings > Mods > Ensure that the mod is on the right side.
Johan 2.0 9 Jan, 2017 @ 3:02pm
Did you add it through the Mods settings for that game save/world?
See here: http://i.imgur.com/t42f3M3.jpg

It shows up in my creative mode that I created just now:

TheBoot 9 Jan, 2017 @ 2:56pm
If this helps, I added the Mod after I had already been working on my world for a while.
TheBoot 9 Jan, 2017 @ 2:54pm
None of the blocks show up anywhere I've looked. Crafting table, smithy, research table, personal crafting menu. Where are they supposed to show up?
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Jan, 2017 @ 12:40pm
Hey TheBoot. Thanks for the note. I just tried it in 0.4.3 Survival, a world I created a few days ago, and all the pieces work fine for me. Screenshot here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=838924024 . What's not working for you? If it's something I can help with, I'm happy to try!
TheBoot 9 Jan, 2017 @ 12:33pm
Doesn't work in 0.4.3 Survival
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Nov, 2016 @ 6:15am
Thanks DiegoKevin & mugamoomoo. And I love the smithy, Johan! Lol, yes placing a bunch of blocks involves a LOT of scrollwheel action & rotation!
Johan 2.0 8 Nov, 2016 @ 7:14pm
Looking great! :wololo:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=795975405
The only issues I've had so fat is the time it takes to place all the blocks and finding the most suitable location for any given sign :P
Mugamoomoo 8 Nov, 2016 @ 4:58pm
THis is so cool... Keep up the Good Work!
DiegoKevin 8 Nov, 2016 @ 3:20pm
2 things
1 - congrats on getting into the video
2 - yes it would be super nice to add boks (a bit like in minecraft where you could write your own books and have them as an item somebody could read)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 8 Nov, 2016 @ 11:47am
Oh wow. They did! That's awesome, great to see it up there. Thanks for the note.
titanius anglesmith 8 Nov, 2016 @ 11:40am
your mod is on an update video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSEdJFiB0W8 gratz my dawg
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 7 Nov, 2016 @ 6:56am
Thanks much DiegoKevin, yeah I hope they will add signs/books/notes in Vanilla soon. Oh, and Johan, check out the new set of tiles that can now be attached directly to walls. I think that will give you all a lot more options for how you want to put up signs & notices. Let me know how it works!
DiegoKevin 6 Nov, 2016 @ 1:25pm
Super nice, and it will have to do until we get some oficial stuff.
Wølff 6 Nov, 2016 @ 11:05am
Oh ok, cool I never really understood how mod devs contacted game devs, so thanks.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 6 Nov, 2016 @ 6:26am
Hey Shacor, just through Discord & the bug reports. And thanks Ze Leetgrain!
Wølff 5 Nov, 2016 @ 10:14pm
Hey, STORI3D, how are you contacting the devs? Thanks...
Leetgrain 5 Nov, 2016 @ 6:59pm
Awesome! Thanks for this.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 5 Nov, 2016 @ 12:00pm
Hey Johan. I'm working on the different things. Problem with the stacking. The game code overrides or ignores "Stacking" lines in modded code. It's possible to make the tiles stack. But you would have to go into the main "CubeBlocks_small.sbc" file in the main Medieval Engineers data directory and add a line to make it happen. Kind of a bummer! I'm checking with the Devs to see if there's a workaround.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 5 Nov, 2016 @ 11:58am
No worries Ben. I'm happy to see players trying to watch each others' backs.
theevilgamerwhokillspeople 5 Nov, 2016 @ 10:57am
im sorry for wrongly accusing you
Johan 2.0 5 Nov, 2016 @ 9:57am
Cheers for taking the feedbacks my dude. If I have any crazy or sensible ideas for modding thats perceivably within your scope I'll make sure to let you know. :wololo: Time for me to sleep now its 6am... :steambored:
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 5 Nov, 2016 @ 9:46am
Johan, man, it's almost like you're reading my mind & it's eerie.I had each one of those things in mind - except the crafting time, which I'll look at. But yeah, I recognized that the arrows are missing. The tile scroll-wheel can get out of hand if I add too much so I need to think about adding a second wheel for symbols (which wouod mean in Survival having to craft them separately too). I was also thinking of a less-offset collection that could lay flat against a surface so you wouldn't need a frame. It will be easy to build, I just worry about the mod overloading with blocks. I'll test it. Lastly thanks for the stack feedback. I debated both ways in that. In the end you're right. These little things need to be stackable. Silly how much space they take up. Thx as always for the great suggestions
Johan 2.0 5 Nov, 2016 @ 9:32am
I may as well take the time to point out that the flat-blocks are lacking the directional arrows and I'm not sure if that was intentional.
Also, a "less offset" flat-block type might be handy in cases where you want to create a sign against a surface that doesn't require borders to look nice.

With that aside, what I have done with the blocks thus far has been satisfactory within each block types intended use and function with the exception of the above suggestion and that the crafting time is a little bit slow for such a small object.
Oh, and they're also not stackable which could be a pain in the arse for certain people.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 5 Nov, 2016 @ 9:15am
I stole nothing, never even saw that mod - though it's cool!
Johan 2.0 5 Nov, 2016 @ 9:10am
I hope you don't mean this: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=787285582&searchtext=letters
That mod has a different function entirely and the font type isn't the same.
Johan 2.0 5 Nov, 2016 @ 9:06am
What is a cobalt risen?
theevilgamerwhokillspeople 5 Nov, 2016 @ 9:04am
YOU STOLE THIS FROM COBALT RISEN!!!!!!!!
