Man, I wish more of these mods were updated truly wanted this type of stuff.
Nia 15 Jun, 2024 @ 10:57pm
I just want the massive ring worlds not just the normal ring worlds that come with the expansion lol
Durandal 15 Jun, 2024 @ 9:05pm
'@Dalkulin ki- it is not up to date, no. I assumed everyone would just be using the one that came with the Origins expansion.'

That one is kinda buggy tbh, I think people just want a ringworld start that doesn't have the broken segment that is wonky
elrodmarlon 30 Jan, 2023 @ 4:04am
Super ring world's wow :) 3.6.1 here ?
heschter 8 Dec, 2022 @ 12:50pm
an update would be enormously appreciated - I let my little brother start on the super ringworld, he loves it! and Origins only provides the standard ringworld :)

Dalkulin ki 19 Oct, 2022 @ 1:45pm
is this up-to date? does it require the DLC's?
King Zog 16 Aug, 2021 @ 9:47am
amazing, thank you
csrr  [author] 16 Aug, 2021 @ 8:17am
@King Zog- I'll add it to the backlog of start systems I'm trying to build...
King Zog 16 Aug, 2021 @ 8:07am
Could you make the Ketling system start? (ruinous core, etc)
NotNitehawk 11 Aug, 2021 @ 8:57am
Can you make it so that it uses your shipset's form of the ringworld?
csrr  [author] 17 Apr, 2021 @ 9:03am
@project087- it really shouldn't be? That's likely because of interactions with other mods.

@Critical32- That's really cool. I learned modding the same way, so it's cool. :)

@Aeneas137- I agree, that needs fixed...
project087 21 Aug, 2020 @ 2:30pm
Is it normal that my ringworld gets always destroid early on by some form of desasters?
Critical32 29 Jul, 2020 @ 5:03pm
I created the Triple RingWorld mod using your mod.
If it doesn't like you, I'll delete it right away.

Thanks
Aeneas137 20 May, 2020 @ 8:37am
Played thru 2x with this start and it was not fun. Only way to make this playable is by gathering massive amounts of minerals. So basically your homeworld sits idle for centuries while you go colonize real planets and somewhere near the midpoint you can expand the ring? What's the point? By then you probably have ring tech anyway in a normal game with planets that actually generate proper resources. I wasted probably 8 hrs on this mod.
ADN 11 Apr, 2020 @ 7:16am
@csrr- Awesome, thank you for the fix and glad to hear you're feeling better!
Trixie 8 Apr, 2020 @ 4:49pm
I assumed it was some event firing at game start causing it, not a problem with the mod files, maybe something related to a change made in 2.6.3 by pdx but i don't know. I'll try again later. They did make some changes to origins...
csrr  [author] 8 Apr, 2020 @ 4:28pm
@Ashur- I just checked the mod files, and they seem to be in order (at least all the four-segment ones). Maybe check the integrity of your local files?
Trixie 8 Apr, 2020 @ 4:03pm
just made the regular one, turned of al other mods and it was still going on. Maybe it's just me somehow.
csrr  [author] 8 Apr, 2020 @ 2:56pm
@Ashur- not sure, but I'll investigate. Are you using any other mods, and which version of the ringworld are you using?
Trixie 7 Apr, 2020 @ 7:53pm
planet size of ringworld capital is always way too huge in 2.6.3, like 13+, what's happening?
csrr  [author] 6 Apr, 2020 @ 8:26am
@Ghost- Thanks! I'm feeling better today (tendonitis sucks!), and I was able to investigate.Turns out, the problem was some legacy code in some of the tile blockers (they reduced the number of available jobs, which, because they weren't intended to be used that way, was messing up the job counter). I just uploaded a fix.

@Vrishnak92™- Thank you! I've been looking into trinary ringworlds, but they cause some- interesting bugs, so they’ll have to wait for a while. :)
Vrishnak92™ 5 Apr, 2020 @ 2:19am
How about a double or trinary ringworld start in place of the super ringworld one? It would like nicer while providing the same benefit? But before that, get better first, as this is just an idea I had when looking at the mod, and it wouldn't end up happening if your health worsens
ADN 4 Apr, 2020 @ 6:33am
@csrr- No worries, feel better - everything else can wait.

It doesn't seem to actually cause problems that I can tell, seems to just display a negative number.
csrr  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 6:01am
@Ghost- well, I can confirm the bug, and my game seems to be adding a few more for good measure- and my IRL health is acting up as well. I might not be able to get a fix made for a few days, but I will be looking into it. Thank you for informing me.
ADN 4 Apr, 2020 @ 5:18am
@csrr here is a screenshot: https://ibb.co/TYrzWrr
csrr  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 4:38am
@Ghost- what sort of tile blockers are present?
ADN 4 Apr, 2020 @ 3:34am
Any ideas why the second ring section I colonise always has negative jobs, it starts with -6. There are plenty of jobs so I don't have jobless pops it just registers as a negative.
csrr  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 8:05pm
@Jean- me being snide about everyone wanting an eight-segment ringworld :)
L. Yoichi 3 Apr, 2020 @ 9:58am
Super Ringworld What are the consequences?
Smoking_GNU 22 Mar, 2020 @ 10:20am
No prob. Just happy to help.
csrr  [author] 22 Mar, 2020 @ 9:23am
@Smoking_GNU- Also, I'm sorry if I sounded angry in my previous post. It wasn't intended to sound that way, honest.
csrr  [author] 22 Mar, 2020 @ 9:20am
@Smoking_GNU- No, I believe you. It's just- the tech didn't work like that before, so I never expected them to use it the way they apparently did. So I was apparently wrong. This is actualy good news, because it means Ringworld Home is more useful than I expected it to be. :)
Smoking_GNU 22 Mar, 2020 @ 1:12am
I don't know what to tell you, man. I JUST started a game as a test after reading your response, and i was able to have a Ringworld Home start while being a scion of an FE. I got the screenshots to show you if you want.
csrr  [author] 21 Mar, 2020 @ 5:02pm
@Smoking_GNU- Well, I guess I should check the Origins file instead of grousing about the twelve pages of "Scion FE system initalisers" :)
Smoking_GNU 21 Mar, 2020 @ 10:30am
Csrr, i checked and it doesn't. Scion is just you being a vassal of an FE, doesn't affect your starting system. Now shattered ring, Remnants, those kinds of origins, those override the starting system.
Trixie 21 Mar, 2020 @ 9:25am
you don't need federations to choose an origin, vanilla just has relatively few.
csrr  [author] 21 Mar, 2020 @ 6:33am
@Smoking_GNU- you're welcome! However, I believe the Scion Origin overwrites whatever starting system you chose with it's own...
Smoking_GNU 21 Mar, 2020 @ 4:34am
Thanks for the update. Think this'd work well with the Scion Origin for storytelling.
csrr  [author] 20 Mar, 2020 @ 4:19pm
As promised, this is updated to 2.6.1. Nothing fancy or new added at this point, and there are probably some bugs.
Kepler68 18 Mar, 2020 @ 1:14pm
Several origins are available without federations. i think federations just includes bonus ones. There are also a few mods for origins on the workshop already that dont require it :)
csrr  [author] 17 Mar, 2020 @ 2:15pm
- update- according to Steam's rules (the "don't make a DLC thing free via mods" part), updating this mod to Origins means that the mod would have to require Federations. My plan right now I'm going to leave this one as-is, and create a seperate Origins version that requires Federations.
csrr  [author] 17 Mar, 2020 @ 2:03pm
@That unnervingly happy turtle. - yep! Tendonitis will slow me down a bit, but hopefully it'll be ready by the weekend :)
That unnervingly happy turtle. 17 Mar, 2020 @ 10:49am
Any plans to redo this for the new origin system?
Logion567 8 Mar, 2020 @ 3:35pm
why does my home segment always start as ab agriucultural ring world?
Rakonat 24 Jan, 2020 @ 7:43am
@Altéria that's how ringworlds have been since 2.3, each ringworld district provides 20 relevant jobs and 20 housing, or 80/60 housing for city/gestalt living districts. This was done largely because of how bad ringworlds were in 2.2 because each district consumed admin capacity making them worse than regular planets.
Altéria 14 Dec, 2019 @ 2:46am
Well the mod is working, but the amount of space in each part of the ring is 5, so you can't have a lot of population
ShadowT3CH 12 Dec, 2019 @ 1:54pm
Unsupported on 2.5.1?
csrr  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 5:14am
@Azona- Yes.
Azona 7 Dec, 2019 @ 5:12pm
I like this idea, I got questions, if I chose ring world that is damage, can it be repaired with later ingame tech?
