That's a shame, I would try to translate it anyway as I seen some projects with similar situation being able to still work even with language/cultural differences, but no pushing as you are most likelly right with your point.

@brd2003 - HOW? I tried to learn japanese, and yeah, Japs use Kenji/Kanji (sorry I forgot spelling) too, but you would see kana symbols if it was japanese. It is easy to recognize Chinese Japanese and Korean - Chinese uses only Kanji - Japanese additionaly uses its own symbols from kana like　の (no) which is one I see most commonly along with Kenji. Same with Korean their own symbols and a bit of Kanji if im not mistaken.
