had a great run mainly using the dynamic brake boy that was some tunnel figuring when they built it a great effort to man kind

yeah arnd 50% dynamic (throttling it), 50% train brake and with a sprinkling of loco brake made it through.. :-)

The dynamic brake helped me a lot.

i knew coming down would be a challenge and had burned my fingers several times during career mode...so this time took it very slow and steady.. by the time i reached Griffith the upcoming train had already cleared the track so i had one less thing to worry about.. stopped right before the signal luckily... :-)

Brilliant downhill run!! Real heart in mouth stuff at the end; like david.angus1977 I only just, by the skin of my teeth managed to stop before colliding with that last intermodal heading up the pass!!:steamhappy: Didn't notice the cow at the end - I was too busy mopping my brow! :)

Yea, I think I remember that one, tough braking. Thanks David. :)

Oh, that was a challenge, RB! I just managed to stop before connecting with the up-coming westbound traffic!! I'm getting quite attached to that darling cow! Many thanks for producing these scenarios --- greatly enjoying the lot so far! Regards, David.

Another very enjoyable scenario. Like "Where's Waldo", I'm always on the lookout for that pet cow.

Welcome wigbolts, the cow is an ornery cuss.

Had a lot of fun doing this scenario. I like the little things you throw in like the guy sitting above the entrance to the Connaught Tunnel, the young lady on the bridge and of course the guy with his cow. Thanks.

Brake pipe is a fun thing to control. Welcome Keith. 6 and 7 get a little easier I think.
keith.stroud.52 11 Jan, 2017 @ 2:40pm
Wow, trying to keep the speed down and in the dark as well!!! Spent the rest of the time looking at the scenery. Thanks for your time and efforts RB
Regards, Keith.

thanks Ken, i just keep easeing the break on a little at a time, the break pipe is a funny thing to get use to...there is a tutorial on it i think...use the cabin view and just make sure the pressure keeps the same, example 88-88.....78-78...till ou see your speed start to decrease.

Nice run through the tunnel and beyond, it has been an experience trying to brake, and do switching on these slopes. Thanks again for all your work.
