I think the main issue is that the blade isn't long enough.
The tips should stretch out farther, as it does currently look a lot like a pickaxe.
Protocol-9 suggestion is also good.

Personally, I don't like the shape of the axe, it looks more like a pickaxe than a straight up axe.

Perhaps you could or could have designed it that it had two blades shaped like crescent moons?
