Is there anyway to change the view of "Choose Construction" screen, from list to a grid? I believe it would fit all construction options and would not need to roll the screen.

@The_Revanchist It does, you just need to check the number between () after the version of your game, if the number dont change between the launcher and the main menu then you are good to go.

i guess it would take up some of the same space that's currently assigned to names, but does it use that space in an absolute way (like empty zone without it being there) or does the name just start wherever the other stuff happens to end? maybe add production icons to the end after the name so it can only cut off the end of super-long building names? the vertical area would remain the same if you just added more icons in the same line, since they wouldn't have to be bigger than the yield icons (basically a similar set right? at least minerals and energy are the same icons). also maybe look into the 'smalled yield icons' mod made for the galaxy map for art assets, if those aren't scaling properly for those purposes. maybe if you made the cost icons small it would help. maybe also cost icons could just be color-coded numbers to save space and not even need icons. (red for minerals, yellow for energy, so on).

I don't understand how you can say "it seems like it wouldn't take up any extra vertical space", because it most certainly would, unless I severely restrict the available space for the building names. Or unless I move things in such a way as to place it above/below the production numbers, which would make it very clamped and not aesthetically pleasing.

I could add it horizontally, but then the window would have to be made wider to accomodate it. And I don't want to do that, because it requires changing a lot more of the vanilla user interface.

The mod is made to have low impact on the rest of the games code. This makes it easy to keep up to date, not to mention that it makes it exceptionally compatible with other addons on the workshop. Specifically, making it wider would require me to overwrite more of the planet_view.gui components.

You're welcome to make your own addon that adds it.

well, i use the mod in the early game also rather than only enabling it in the later game, and also even in the later game i tend to run out of minerals easily and need to keep track (i've been told i'm very efficient with using minerals asap). regardless, it seems like it wouldn't take up any extra (vertical) space, so it'd still be a nice addition.

Frankly, that problem occurs quite rarely. But if the cost of the buildings can be added in, *without* making each line taller, then it's fine by me.

great mod, but i'm curious if you could add the cost of buildings to the list so you don't need to mouseover to see them. sometimes it's annoying trying to plan buildings without seeing their costs, especially when you need to compare 3+ buildings' costs at once.
