Yeah, the big main water mod does make the whole thing planet-wide, so you can't make your own ponds. The "still water" mod though does let you place tiny or large ponds around that behave a TON nicer than my old solid "water" did. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=931815081&searchtext=water
Aurora Lily 2 Jan, 2019 @ 12:39pm
Thanks, I had a look at water for me but you couldn't place the water. I'll keep looking.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 2 Jan, 2019 @ 12:14pm
Hi @Aurora Lily. I don't plan to do update the water voxel, because there are already a couple water mods out there that do a much better job, with water you can actually either float on or walk into.
Aurora Lily 2 Jan, 2019 @ 11:26am
Hi, do you have any plans to update the water aspect of this mod?
KamakaziCow69r 27 Sep, 2018 @ 3:21pm
awesome tysm :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 27 Sep, 2018 @ 2:25pm
Hey KamakaziCow :) I redid part of it as a Survival buildable set of voxels: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1359397339 . I don't think I'll be able to put the rest of the old styles into it. But I keep trying to think of new ideas.
KamakaziCow69r 27 Sep, 2018 @ 1:54pm
hi when will you be updating this mod please? :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 18 Mar, 2018 @ 12:39pm
Hi @arielwyndwalker -- I'm finally sitting down with this mod now, and switching over all the new definitions. The developers have made huge fixes on their end, and now these voxels will work better than ever! I'll have an update in the next week.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 30 Jan, 2018 @ 5:21am
Hmm. Thanks for the note, I'll check this out & see what's up.
arielwyndwalker 29 Jan, 2018 @ 8:35am
Not sure why, but I don't think these are showing for me or at least not all. I do have snow in my voxel, but no cobblestone or water etc.
d0nkeybob 23 Jan, 2018 @ 6:13pm
Yea, noticied that I don't have problems using it though it looks like voxel material thumbnail is blank. I don't know if that's because of the new update or the mod. Only little thing was the message.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 23 Jan, 2018 @ 5:16pm
Hey d0nkeybob. It still works fine. I probably should go ahead and reupload just so that it doesn't give that message. But I use parts of it myself in my builds with no issues.
d0nkeybob 23 Jan, 2018 @ 4:58pm
Any idea if this one will get updated to the latest ME version? I get an warning message if I try to use it.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 21 Jan, 2018 @ 6:08pm
Haha yeah I often forget about this mod, especially with all the great new vanilla voxels.
arielwyndwalker 20 Jan, 2018 @ 3:03pm
How did I miss this mod. Awesome mod, thank you !
Ambitious Dreamsickle 14 Oct, 2017 @ 7:28am
your swift response makes me very happy. thank you stori3d :D
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 14 Oct, 2017 @ 7:27am
Hi Junoberries, welcome to Med Eng! You use these in Creative mode. And it’s really easy. Subscribe, add the mod to your world, and then in-game just equip one of the voxel tools. Then use the [ and ] keys to scroll through the different voxels you can lay. All the ones from this mod will be there.
Ambitious Dreamsickle 14 Oct, 2017 @ 7:15am
this is amazing but being completely new to the game and just coming from space engeneers how do i get it to work?
Pegasus 1 Oct, 2017 @ 2:13am
Cool name!
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 17 Jun, 2017 @ 10:21am
Hi again Regnilse. OK, I have republished it, with metadata. I hope that works!
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 16 Jun, 2017 @ 6:21pm
Hey Regnilse. Ooh interesting. Sure, next time I'm at the computer I'll reupload with the metadata.
Regnilse 16 Jun, 2017 @ 6:14pm
Hey Stori3d, would you be able to add the metadata file to this mod, i think its causing some issues when its listed as a required mod.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 May, 2017 @ 6:31pm
Lavender is beautiful! :-) Actually I was just trying to see if I could make an all-new bit of flora from scratch. It & the water are my favorite two
Proscrito 9 May, 2017 @ 4:50pm
Woah, water, snow a-..wait..lavender? Wh- You know what i won't question it. Jokes aside, great mod man. :)
Jon Snow 22 Apr, 2017 @ 6:24pm
okey, i though that it would change the world in survival mode too :/ but i use the planet mod with this mod in it and then it worked soo :D
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 22 Apr, 2017 @ 4:45pm
Hey Timmy. It won't change your world automatically. It only gives you a bunch of new tools to use to create different landscapes when you're in Creative mode. You use the "Voxels Hands" tools to add new land, and you can scroll through the options with ... I forget which keys, I think the [ and ] keys.
Jon Snow 22 Apr, 2017 @ 3:49pm
Hello how do you make this mod work? i load it into my mod settings, go into a world but it look the same as vanilla? help pls
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 13 Jan, 2017 @ 8:03pm
I would love to have cattle in the game. And horses. And boars and wolves too! Right now that kind of modding work is beyond me. Maybe one day I'll sit down and try to learn it :)
The Purple Fox 13 Jan, 2017 @ 7:26pm
as a mod lel
The Purple Fox 13 Jan, 2017 @ 7:26pm

The Purple Fox 13 Jan, 2017 @ 7:26pm

STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 28 Dec, 2016 @ 5:59pm
Haha. "Frozen" coming to Medieval Engineers :-). The water is solid like the rest of the world, it's just for looks. I hope for real water some day!
Sumilicious 28 Dec, 2016 @ 5:48pm
is the water a solid or a liquid?
Sumilicious 28 Dec, 2016 @ 5:47pm
well since there is snow LET IT GO LET IT GO CANT HOLD IT BACK ANYMORE!!
MicosMagicBeans 9 Dec, 2016 @ 5:59pm
Hi STORI3D PAST, thanks for the reply. My scales are all as you say they should be, that is why i'm so confused. MaybeI should try loading a "simple" cube fbx so that the code doesnt need to be changed at all apart from names, this way i can see if even with the developers block+code there is an issue. This way at least i will know if there is something wrong with the settings. Not sure when i'll get around to it but ill let you know how i go once i've done it. If you have any other ideas let me know, I have tried twice, restarting from scratch with the same problem occuring. Thanks again for trying to help me out, I really appreciate it. :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 9 Dec, 2016 @ 5:56am
Hey @micosmagicbeans. Blender and the Keen modding software are SO finicky, that one wrong move at any of 100 places can make the whole thing fall apart. It's so frustrating, and I think that's why there are so few good modding guides -- it's just really difficult to anticipate all the things that can go wrong. For your model size, my first guess is that in Blender the scale is set high. When you're in Blender, check to make sure that the scale is reading 1.0. When you're in Object Mode, tap "N" to open up your Transform panel. Under the Transform tab, check the Scale. All the scales for X, Y, and Z should be 1.0. Then look at the Dimensions. A large-block item like a stone wall should be 2.5 long by 2.5 high by about 0.5 wide. If your numbers look wildly different from that, resize them. The texture thing is a whole different story. Let's see if we can get it the right size first. Let me know if any of the above works for you.
MicosMagicBeans 9 Dec, 2016 @ 2:50am
Hi STORI3D PAST Productions. I have spent the week trying to learn how to mod with mixed results. I finally got my block in without errors, however I still don't know how to get textures working. Worse than that my block is the size of a mountain range for some reason. Do you have any idea why it would be so large. I'm using blender, and I have directx 12 installed. Not sure if that is an issue. I have watched Shaostoul's videos on how to mod space engineers and am still having trouble. I tried using the textures that came with the game, block_sheet_de.dds, cm etc but with no success. I wish there was decent straight forward guide to learn from. Anything you could suggest i read? I tried a simple cube block halved diagonally because i wanted to fix how the texture runs the wrong way when you filp the stone slopes for diagonal wall bases. All the info on modding seems scattered or outdated or broken, I followed the tutorial but am getting nowhere it seems. Any ideas?

Haa @iBuilderLive. Let it snow! Took a long time to get the snow looking OK under the bright sun. Let me know how it looks for your builds.
iBLgames 27 Nov, 2016 @ 8:37am
all I have to say.. is ... SNOW!:steamhappy:
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 25 Nov, 2016 @ 7:54am
You bet, Coggernaut. It's so fun getting down into the "nuts & bolts" of how the game works. I would love to see these different terrains produce different ores & materials, which could be used in different ways. Much like what you and jonn19 are doing with your awesome mods. I just wish it was all in vanilla, there is -so much- that this game could be!
Coggernaut 24 Nov, 2016 @ 7:55pm
Thank you so much, this is amazing :)
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 24 Nov, 2016 @ 5:29am
Wolfgar those are great ideas! I'm looking at brick textures now that would be suitable for paving - you're right, it'd be hugely useful!
STORI3D PAST Productions  [author] 24 Nov, 2016 @ 5:17am
Hey Regnilse, yeah the sun/lighting is extremely powerful in the Planets build. I had to darken most of the textures to almost extreme levels in order to get them to show up OK. The sand and snow are the two I'm still least happy with. You're right, when darker the sand is fantastic! I'm going to try to push them even darker in the DDS files & see if they'll look better in-game without having to hack settings. Thanks much for the feedback, this is exactly the kind of stuff I neef!
Regnilse 23 Nov, 2016 @ 10:58pm
After playing around with map making for a while, i've noticed that the new textures are quite bright. While messing around in the develper settings, in the ambient environment menu I found setting the diffusion factor between 0 to 0.2 makes the sand look amazing.

I was wondering if you might be interested in making that possible. Adding like a statue or bone like voxel. We can try and model our own statues or bone ruins.
Also had another idea for ya if your interested. I really love the cobblestone road. Make a reddish brick version of that. I dont know if you can just change the color hue of the cobble one now and give it a red tint. I never got that far in modding lol. But some old red brick roads for inner castle wall would look awesome. Just some ideas for ya if you like and are interested. Hell knowing you, you are already working on something like that lol. Anyway thanks for reading the ramble, great work!
wolfgar7474 23 Nov, 2016 @ 6:43pm
Hey STORI3D! Loving this mod thanks again. The marble kinda looks like bone or statue. Many possibilies there. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=805170441

@Regnilse, your world is -awesome-! I love how realistic it all looks. And @CESky thanks much. Yeah, I've been learning an awful lot the past few months. It's been really fun to have ideas and actually start learning how to get them into the game. Thanks much for the kind words.
Regnilse 22 Nov, 2016 @ 2:47pm
Thanks again for the texures, heres the first planet made with them https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=804569756

Hi Stori3D that's so awesome. You have come far both in skill and creativity! Kudos for the original Voxels by Jugbot and many thanks for putting your efforts into this!! You are one of the reasons this little ME community is full of life. :steamhappy:
