This makes me think of Warforged (from Eberron campaign setting in D&D) and strikes me as having the potential to be something truly noteworthy. I hope you continue to do work with this and push what you can do with it. As a note, perhaps trying to find a way to change textures to replace the other categories, like instead of facepaint, have runes or glowing lines. Replace some of the subtle sounds of moving with wood creaking or clonking together.
Also, you may want to consider some lesser or major powers.

For example: Lesser Power, faster swim speed and better sneaking since they don't breathe and can remain perfectly still.
Major Power, Touch of Magic, the wooden constructs can fortify their smithing and enchanting for 30 seconds allowing them to craft truly wonderous items briefly for a day.

Just some things to consider.

@IODINOSAUR; i don't know if you still check your page or respond to the comments. if you do i have a request. since you are working with mannequins for this mod. is there any chance you could do a mod to make mann. buyable and moveable? the dynamic mannequins mod has only 18 available and thats nowhere near enough for collectors. the guy that created that mod has abandoned his page and subscribers. everyone wants more mann.. it would be nice to have them available in large quanities or have the merchant restock them every couple of days. if you can and want to do this, theres tons of collectors that would greatly appreciate it. ** if buyable at merchant. please don't use belethors,warmaidens or bits and pieces. everyone uses these vendors and the mods conflict with each other. i'll check back to see if your interested.
