I actually like this mod in that it's a stand alone one, and able to be supplied via either a generator or a tek generator, and able to store what you need in it. I typically create two of the freezers and use one to store edibles and the other to store non-edibles.

If you know anything about editing, you can change the times on this mod so that the timers can be much longer. Just need to know what you are doing in the first place. Unfortunately I currently don't have the game installed, nor the mod, but it should be easy enough. Go to where you have the game installed, back out to steamapps, then go to workshop, content, then the mod's id number, which is 805472739, and look in there. Do a search on the times, then change them to suit you.

I know that is truly the sad part with this Ark community.
Bolisaris  [author] 23 Oct, 2023 @ 3:52am
Not really sure if you are complimenting or berating me but will say okay anyway, thanks for the message.
Nocturnalist 22 Oct, 2023 @ 7:34am
oh btw, ty for showing us how to not give crap and kill a mod, woohoo!
Nocturnalist 22 Oct, 2023 @ 7:30am
and we will use what we want, which means this mod goes in dumpster fire.
Nocturnalist 22 Oct, 2023 @ 7:29am
Lol, these modders have all turned toxic and self centered since all the news of ASA and Ark2.

Alot them are now ,this is way mod is, ok then what is point of your mod, if same as regualr frig then u wasted your time, gj. Another mod dropped and will be boycotting this modder.
Bolisaris  [author] 25 Aug, 2023 @ 9:57am
Then use whatever you want, that simple.

Mod recooked.
Bolisaris  [author] 21 Mar, 2020 @ 6:04am
TBH I think the effort of doing this will totally outweigh the benefits, but I am thankful for the input, I am always pleased to hear from players that use my mods.
Zazuban 21 Mar, 2020 @ 5:52am
Preserving salts is a craftable food item that can be placed into inventory or with S+ into food storage containers; the salts increases how long it takes for food to spoil but it is originally from the Scorched Earth DLC. You could per say have them set to be able to place into your freezers to increase how long it takes the food to rot within by a further degree; the salts also rot over time and you need to craft them so it's not super easy to get them to begin with.
Bolisaris  [author] 20 Mar, 2020 @ 12:52pm
TBH and maybe you can enlighten me (I am open to suggestions) what would putting preserving salt do for the mod, as I do not usually play Aberration I have not a clue, if it helps the mod I may add it anyway.
Zazuban 20 Mar, 2020 @ 12:20pm
@Bolisaris It's all good no worries, really enjoyed the mod but no need to force any changes; glad to hear you are feeling much better though!
Bolisaris  [author] 20 Mar, 2020 @ 2:08am
@Zazuban - Sorry for the late reply to this comment but I have been quite ill for some time but I am starting to feel a lot better and will take your suggestions on board now I am preparing to start modding the game again.
Zazuban 17 Nov, 2018 @ 10:44pm
Never said your mod was rubbish bro, your mesh looks great and it is very high quality; I was just giving a suggestion; sorry to bother you so much over it.
Bolisaris  [author] 17 Nov, 2018 @ 12:12pm
@ Zazuban - You are entitled to your opinion just as much as you are entitled not to use this mod, what you are NOT entitled to do is rubbish the mod because it does not do something you want it to do, if I put in everything a single person wanted on my mods I would not get a chance to play the game, I would be modding continuously, use it or don't use it, end of arguement!
Arksanity.com 16 Nov, 2018 @ 11:51am
We don't use S+! Now you've heard about a server not using it. :SE4Fortitude:
Zazuban 16 Nov, 2018 @ 10:20am
@ Arksanity and Bolisaris - I agree that your mod is superior to vanilla but I havn't seen a single private server not use S+ ; also why not use preserving salt when it decreases rot time even further for things like raw mutton which rot quickly even in fridges. I'm honestly unsure of preserving salts working with the vanilla items but I'm sure it was done on purpose because their fridges don't take everything.
Bolisaris  [author] 15 Nov, 2018 @ 12:26pm
@ Zazuban - If you feel the S+ freezer is superior to mine that is fine then use that instead of this, I cannot understand WHY you would put preserving salt in a freezer anyway TBH,the S+ freezer probably takes all items and has not been set to take just some.
Arksanity.com 13 Nov, 2018 @ 8:32am
Zazuban:
Many things may be superior in S+, but it's also a yuge mod with way too many features... if all you need is a freezer, this is a great mod.

However... why would you need salt in the freezer?
Zazuban 12 Nov, 2018 @ 10:27pm
Sad to say that the S+ Fridge is superior to your industrial one; their times are exactly the same. Not only that but their fridges can also take preserving salts while yours cannot placing yours as the lesser; you should increase the time to spoil a bit more and allow preserving salts to improve your mod.
Bolisaris  [author] 29 Jun, 2018 @ 12:55am
New discord site created for all my mods see above for link.

I have also changed the workstation so you only need wood and cement paste to build it, it has been remodeled to reflect this. Hide codes are put in the Game.ini file incase you do not know.

Level has been increased to lvl 65, I just noticed that I had a pre-requisite of the icebox and this does not appear until lvl 65 so freezers could not be learned until this level anyway.

Updated mod will be 'Industrial Freezer v3.1c' when cooked and uploaded
Bolisaris  [author] 19 Feb, 2018 @ 2:58am
Okay, to placate as many people as possible I have come up with the following solution, because there will only EVER be a need to use just one of the models provided (either the normal or balanced freezer) I have made it so that the normal freezer must be crafted in the players inventory while the balanced freezer must be crafted in the workstation. If you decide to use the balanced freezer model then hide the engram for the normal freezer, if you use the normal freezer hide the engrams for the balanced freezer AND the workstation. See the discussion on hide codes for an explanation on how to do this.
Bolisaris  [author] 19 Feb, 2018 @ 2:15am
It is a unspoken rule in the Ark modding community to NOT mess with core files (that is files included within the game) as this can have unforeseen consequences within the game and could cause fatal errors, the game would then have to be uninstalled and reinstalled to recover the core file changed back to it's original state. That is why I NEVER touch core files.
Arksanity.com 19 Feb, 2018 @ 1:52am
Speed Saddles is in the vanilla smithy. Though I guess that's already modded due to the stack-mod we run. Speed Saddles doesn't add any crafting structure, I made sure to complain when the mod author suggested it. :steammocking: Though, no idea what changes he has done to the smithy... never considered the unforeseen consequences...
Bolisaris  [author] 18 Feb, 2018 @ 11:55pm
I am not sure what you mean by that but I am assuming you mean 'why not put the freezers in the Speed Saddle smithy' if that is what you mean then I am sorry but that is not possible, I would need all the 'Speed Saddle' mods raw files to do that and modders (even myself) will never give out their raw uncooked files, for obvious reasons.

Oh and if you mean use the core game smithy then no I am not doing that, if you change ANY core game files the mod then becomes 'dirty' meaning you have changed a core file and could drastically and fatally effect the game, so I am not going down that route, I like my mods to be clean and stackable.

The only workaround here is to put the normal freezer in the players inventory and have the balanced freezer in the workstation inventory, this way if you do not use the balanced freezer you can just hide it along with the workstation.

I think the above is a fair workaround and I will get on and do that now.
Arksanity.com 18 Feb, 2018 @ 12:25pm
Haha! :steamhappy: Not that I know how modding works, but the Speed Saddle mod has all it's engrams craftable in smithy. Maybe something for a future update, unless all our smithy's are modded and fubared now...
Bolisaris  [author] 18 Feb, 2018 @ 10:13am
You cannot I am afraid, the workstation was introduced for the Balanced Freezer as people were complaining about the amount of resources need to be held to make it, if enough people complain I will of-course make the normal freezer craftable in the players inventory and the balanced freezer in the workstation inventory.

I think it was an American politician who said "You can please some of the people most of the time, you can please most of the people some of the time, but you cannot please all the people all of the time" This stands true here too.
Arksanity.com 18 Feb, 2018 @ 12:43am
Yeah, how do we opt out of the crafting station? Crafting station to make 1 item? Wow. Great.
Bolisaris  [author] 17 Feb, 2018 @ 11:24pm
Updated mod uploaded.
Shaherazade 17 Feb, 2018 @ 3:40pm
Excellent, doing a rebuild after a recent wipe, so will be watching for "b"! Love your work mate.
Bolisaris  [author] 17 Feb, 2018 @ 12:00pm
Have added the requested workstation so you can have all the resources needed to build the freezer/s all in one place without the worry of weights, it has 50 slots which is more than enough, also increased the crafting times to make the freezers take longer to craft. The workstation appears in your personal inventory but the freezers are in the workstation inventory only from now on.

I am cooking this now so wait until 'Industrial Freezer v3.1b' appears in the mod description title before upgrading.

Thanks and enjoy.

Mod updated to the 276.4 game update
Bolisaris  [author] 17 Jan, 2018 @ 10:06am
(aside from the fact that the Balanced takes an admin, or a weight allowance of a Titan to make Who can hold 900+ weight, oy!!)

You are suppose to collect the metal in small quantities put them in a container then use them from there. But I will consider creating a workbench for them later.
Shaherazade 16 Dec, 2017 @ 10:16pm
I use this, as one of 3 total mods on my server, and still love it, updated or no. SillyGnomes unlimited flare guns, a little Glass/Metal building, and some serious refrigeration, and life is just perfect. Never had a single issue (aside from the fact that the Balanced takes an admin, or a weight allowance of a Titan to make Who can hold 900+ weight, oy!!)
Bolisaris  [author] 16 Dec, 2017 @ 1:23pm
You may have noticed a total lack of updates to this, this is because of the total lack of support from WildCard, they have not updated the dev kit since game update 268.3 some 5 months ago, so all the newer additions are not available to us modders, Sorry about this but then blame WC not us!
Zombie967 28 Aug, 2017 @ 3:39pm
keeps crashing my game when i close the freezer
Bolisaris  [author] 9 Aug, 2017 @ 3:22am
Mod updated to work correctly with the 264 game patch, nothing new added.
Arksanity.com 24 Jun, 2017 @ 12:11pm
Solved it by balancing the normal freezer via game.ini. No idea either. Go Wildcard? Apparantly they re-added 70% of the resources to the volcano. Haven't checked myself though. Anywho, I guess most server-admins could simply rebalance crafting costs via game.ini if it is needed.
Bolisaris  [author] 24 Jun, 2017 @ 12:01pm
Cannot understand that, the balanced on is a complete copy of the other just with the materials needed to build increased, I have not played the game for over 2 months after they ruined it by including creatures that cannot be killed but ALWAYS kill you and taking resources away namely the volcano in The Island, the game is no fun anymore.
Dark_Xiphles 23 Jun, 2017 @ 1:57am
well, a month and a half later, i finally went to SP to test why the wyvern milk was not working. We're using the balanced refridgerator, and that one doesn't "allow" milk in it, but the normal one does. Could this be fixed?
Bolisaris  [author] 3 May, 2017 @ 11:45am
I will take a look latyer
Arksanity.com 3 May, 2017 @ 2:07am
Weird. Works with everything else.
Bolisaris  [author] 1 May, 2017 @ 1:57pm
I cannot guarantee this will work with stacking mods as they alter the stacking rate of items, sorry.
Arksanity.com 1 May, 2017 @ 1:10pm
Can't put wyvern milk into the balanced freezer. Also running stack mod. Did work before though...
hablargy 26 Apr, 2017 @ 9:59am
Great mod, no problems in singleplayer, thanks!
Bolisaris  [author] 12 Mar, 2017 @ 10:00am
@ Alexander - I will add this once the dev kit has been updated to the new patch.
Alex 12 Mar, 2017 @ 6:13am
Hey sup Bolisaris, can you add to the Industrial Freezer the new Pheromone Dart maybe with 2,3 or more duration days?. Anyway, thank you very much for this awesome mod. :)
