hm
really nice design.i like it.
not really good flyer.
at omnicron (1g) i push spacebar an the ship not really move up.
left and right is to low the speed to fight with it.
breaks after forward and change to backward drive are horrible.
sorry.
please test ure ships on omnicron or higher G planets.

@starbolins Hey thanks alot! Yes those are wings in the arms. It was a fun build, far from perfect build I had a blast with it~

Thanks for stopping by!

The details in this ship really blew my mind. Are those wings on the inside of the arms? Love the use of bright and dark areas. The asymetry between the shapes above and below the green make the whole thing look like it has a slant. I am not normally into flashy fighter style ships but I need to spawn this to look just how you put this dang thing together.

@Dead Schism I run multiple drives as well. When reinstalling Windows, i always unplugged all the drives and only have the SSD that windows is installing on plugged in. Once you have windows up and running, then shutdown and start installing the other drives. The order you install the drives will be the drive names, ex. "D" "F" etc.

Such a hassle, games can be downloaded but saves are a whole other story. Good luck!
Dead Schism 28 Nov, 2016 @ 4:21am
@Jenn The OS recognizes the drive but it has it split into 2 different 2TB partitions and will not let me delete either one or format either one. It's like it's there but not there haha I don't know for sure. I have a friend with Linux Cali (However it's spelled) and he's willing to send me a copy and completely wipe it that way. Hopefully this will make it an OEM type thing and I'll use Windows to hopefully format and get use out of it. Doesn't seems to have any damaged sectors or anything just an oddity I guess. Wiped my OS and did a fresh install and when it restarted, somehow the SSD i just loaded Windows on to was changed to D:\ lol. Wouldn't boot so I went out and bought yet another SSD and used that. Both SSD's work but I've had some strange things happen with computers lately =\.

@Dead Schism Oh no! Sorry to hear that. I had that happen to me earlier this summer. I was fairly lucky and able to. I was able to hook up a sata usb cable to recover my blueprints and such. I had to let it sit for a few days and try it. Very lucky i was able to do this. Maybe try the same?
Dead Schism 27 Nov, 2016 @ 10:22pm
I'm sad now :(. HDD crapped out on me and I lost ALL of my BP's I had in progress. Even worse, it was a $200 4TB HDD that died too. I'll start work again on whatever I can manage to rebuild tho.
Fractalite 26 Nov, 2016 @ 9:44pm
Keep at it! I am eager to see it!

er.... I will stop turning your comment section into a chat zone...
Dead Schism 26 Nov, 2016 @ 9:30pm
@Fractalite I like the design. It has a similar profile as mine but i did away with all the body work and it's probably 90% essential components with a little steel to give it a slightly more appealing flow. It's proving to be more difficult than anticipated to make it fully functional yet small at the same time haha.
Dead Schism 26 Nov, 2016 @ 9:27pm
Well I'm currently playing the 4.4.2 experimental patch and it seem as tho the problem with keeping it level has been solved but it's still relatively easy to tip that bad boy over haha. My small version looks horrible imo but its super cheap and can be created immediately assuming you start on easy. I have a larger version in the works but it's proving to be too large and cumbersome. I agree there needs to be more sizes in alot of components, not just generators but fuel tanks and anything that is bigger than a 1x1x1 block.
Jenniphurr  [author] 26 Nov, 2016 @ 7:56pm
@Dead Schism For someone that rides motorcyles irl, it saddens me not to be able to create my own bikes here on emp. Hover bikes would be great! But we need a few new items to make them work. One a smaller 1 block generator. Two a type or RCS that allows use for only 1 or 2 hover engines in a straight line. And three, we need a handle bar type cockpit for that non sit upright look.

I will agree with you, i have tried doing a hover bike with just 2 hover engines. On flat areas its pretty neat and works good! turning you lean and feel good, then you hit a bump and tumble to the side, cursing the entire way! Maybe try with 3 engines in a triangle pattern but idk.
Fractalite 26 Nov, 2016 @ 7:42pm
I had the same idea Dead Schism, hope you like it:

Granted*
Don't know what happened there I can't even blame that on auto correct lmao.
Dead Schism 26 Nov, 2016 @ 7:39pm
Well I must say that I have indeed tried to make a "motorbike" out of an HV using 2 hover engines down the centerline and let me tell you, it's like trying to fly an out of control SV lol. Grnated it looked almost nothing like a bike so to speak but I think it would work if there was an auto leveling system in place. Honestly it handled so much better than hte stock motorbike and was tremendously more mobile than a typical HV, but keeping it upright proved to be a challenge especially when starting out in the mountains on Omicron. I'll try a couple more designs I had in mind and post them and see how other people like them.

Hope you like it. :)
Jenniphurr  [author] 26 Nov, 2016 @ 4:52pm
@Kieve Thanks for the kind words! Yes I feel like if they gave use the blocks that some of the wings had would be much better than premade ones. Same goes for that premade motorbike. Don't give me a pre bike motorbike. Give me the seat and wheels to make my own!

This is a sandbox game that we literaly mush build everything. Why is there these soft restrictions to hold us back?
Kieve 26 Nov, 2016 @ 1:56pm
I have to disagree with Dead Schism, this thing is absolute genius top to bottom. I too have hated the wing pieces, and what you've done with them here actually makes me want to use them now. Of course, it needs to be said that the Vindicator is one of my all-time favorites of yours, so adding another in that design style was bound to push all the right buttons for me. One of the best in the Zero-G shipyards!
Jenniphurr  [author] 26 Nov, 2016 @ 10:14am
@Fractalite Oh my thanks! Yes it is really easy to keep creating the same stuff over and over. But even build I try to do something a tad different.

Also I love revisting my older builds and update them. Sometimes you see things you didn't before.

I love inspiring people to be creative so be sure to show me what you have in store I'd am interested in seeing it!
Jenniphurr  [author] 26 Nov, 2016 @ 10:10am
@CW Nice! I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
CW 26 Nov, 2016 @ 10:00am
just by the pics looks like the old cylon mixed with a mantus feel to it.. will give it a go. if i can manage something other than flying bricks myself i'll try the wing thing too :)
Fractalite 26 Nov, 2016 @ 8:10am
This design is a marvel. I am speechless! You used so many different design elements! How... did you even...? Huh. I need to clear some subscriptions so I can load this in creative. It has given me an idea.

On a side note - It is fun to see designers break away from their usual haunts. This ship is easily your best work yet with SV's - on par with the Vasquez CV.
Jenniphurr  [author] 26 Nov, 2016 @ 5:30am
Also that brings up an idea!

I would like to challange anyone to use the wings blocks in a way other than wings! That is the stuff I want to see!

If you do this based on this comment make sure to link me the workshop page I want to see what you come up with!
Jenniphurr  [author] 26 Nov, 2016 @ 5:29am

RCS were recently given a new look. They have a more rugged look now that is fantastic! No longer do you have to hide them but can now use them for more fine detail and building options!
And the pipe blocks are fantastic as well! These will help with nice big capital ship interiors. If only these were around when I was building Vasquez, I might be ship trying to build that ship!

Let me just say thank you! I see your comments all the time and you on of the few that really take the time and give constructive feedback~ Thanks for trying out Torment!
Jenniphurr  [author] 26 Nov, 2016 @ 5:29am
@Dead Schism See this is why your such a good person, your honest! I have to say this is one of the best comments I have received.

You found elements that you did love about this even though you do not perfer it. You really put in time showing the good sides of what you enjoy and I thank you for that!

The wings yes, let me be honest ->I hate the wing designs! For one reason, lack creativity! They are to easy to use and uninspiring. I don't want complete wings, I want different blocks to create wingsin different ways. I mean look at the workshop now, wings are everywhere and with only a handful of wings ship are looking similar. Sorry for ranting a bit there but I have a strong stance on my disilke of the wing blocks. So i just tried to find an interesting way to use the wing block not as wings!

Now don't take this the wrong way Jenn but, I absolutely hate the way this looks. That's not to say the attention to detail and the use of shapes isn't great, personally I love each aspect of the design but as a whole, I can't say it looks as good as some of your other creations. I do however love the fact that you used wings for something other than wings. I never use the wing block because i think they're out of proportion to most designs but you did a fantastic job with them. I may use some elements of the design in my own designs like the "pipes" connecting the fuel tanks and thrusters and even the ribs on the wings. I think what you did with the RCS is fantastic. Functional and at the same time, gives it that futuristic, alien kind of look. Fantastic job overall but my personal opinion is underwhelmed asthetically but that shouldn't be held against this marvel of imagination.
