You should try the "Realism Package" or something like that (I forget the actual title, but it's like this, but zombies drop you to the monochrome view instantly, health packs are replaced with pain pills, the bile jar is replaced with the pipe bomb, and to get out of the monochrome state, you have to use an adrenaline shot).

That was in fact what I was asking. It'll be a while before Real Infection is released since the scripting language is kind of foreign to me.

"Real Infection" sounds good. And yes I thought the same thing before, survivors should get infection.

However, I couldn't get excatly what you asked? Are you offering to play together? if you do so, I can't play full play through, since I am like working 7/24 for a while. Some times I open the game in window mode, start a solo campain and keep it minimized, just for beeing able to shooting a few zombies once in a while. It is kind of a stress reliever or like a fidget spinner for nowadays. :tank:
But I would like to keep in touch for future. Maybe when you finnished "Real Infection" we can play it.

I was thinking of calling it "Real Infection" or something like that... It would essentially be named sort of after what I think a real zombie apocalypse would be like, and the fact that you can be infected... And not conveniently be the last 8 immune people in the world... You want to play some No Special Infected: Realism Edition at some point? Or Survival Edition?

About the name case, maybe you should consider that the infection system is the main feature, thus people will search by using it. (I know there is mutation called infection, so maybe you can create an amalgam with "Project Real".

I'm thinking of disabling the Tanks for most events along with every other Special, making damage a bit more of an issue for players as difficulty only slightly changes the damage curve, and the part that I'm having trouble with is the infection system. This system basically works by assessing if a player took damage from a zombie, and if that is the case, ALL their health becomes temporary health until they use an adrenaline shot which will lose all it's other effects... And once I figure out how to do it, I want to implement a crawling system as well so players that are incapped can slide a bit closer to safety and be revived. This Mutation I'm dubbing "Project Real" for now but you can give me an idea for an official name if you want...

Cool. So if we need scripted tanks but don't want tank in general ProhibitBosses is our way. But I think people who want this mutation also don't want any tanks in finals like 2 tank waves in the sacrifice and the passing finals. Thus It is hard to choose.

Personally I really don't think specials are realistic at all. I know it is game mechanic, it is kinda L4D's main thing. And it also opens a way to versus mode. But I would love to have an option to get rid of them.

I would like to see your new project. Will do it have any feature that solve the dilemma, maybe?

Actually, I figured out the issue... I set the Tank limit to 0 while ProhibitBosses was set to 0 as well. What does that mean in Layman's Terms? Tank limit doesn't fully disable Tanks, it just makes sure none can show up, thus making the game impossible to reach certain places as, some campaigns require you to kill the Tank. ProhibitBosses disables the Tank, but only where it isn't scripted. This means it's impossible for it to spawn unless you're in a finale or something. And if it spawns in a situation like that, there's no softlock... Well, good to know for my new project you might like more than this one.

oh I didn't notice that in RE maps. I like them too. Thanks for letting us know that too.
But problems in unofficial maps are not your mod's concern I guess. You can't track all mods after all.

I thought I said something about that... Well, thanks for letting me know I guess. Well, I know that any other campaign you can do with no issues. For the most part at least. Stuff like Roku's Resident Evil maps don't work though. RE1 where you should fight a tank (in replacement of the Tyrant fight 1), the door locks you in, and even if you noclip out, it'll softlock in the helipad. RE2 where you have to fight William at the end, there's supposed to be a few tanks but, the game softlocks there... And RE3 it softlocks pretty much wherever the Nemesis would show up in the original. So pretty much, if a Tank is scripted (in exception to most points in the game), it will either work just fine and play without said Tank, or it'll softlock. It's an issue that can't be fixed from disabling Tanks. I suggest playing through Official campaigns to reduce the chance of a softlock...

Thank you man. This my favorite game mod/mutation.
However, in Sacrifice episode 1 you can't progress at where you open a train cart and kill the tank inside. Hence there is no tank, second door is locked.

Yep. It plays identically to Realism, but it removes the special infected. Be careful though because some maps break from this mod (none of which being official levels).
