Ah, I wasn't aware the current versions had that requirement, but older versions still work with just the legacy version. You'll probably have to try a pre-Chimera squad release, something around v1.3 and see if that works. v1.2.x have patch notes that talk about non-WOTC functionality, so it was still working back then.

The mod works fine. Your problem is using the crappy vanilla launcher. Use AML - https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher/releases

Dear @DrDCB, I am a mere player and I don't have a single idea how to mod or anything. I love your mod and I thank you for it but the main reason for this post is that I have download more than 600 mods from Steam Workshop for this and some other games and YOU sir are the first one that gives acknowledgements to all the mods that you used for your photos. I can't thank you and congratulate you enough for this. You just gave me a really good reason to hope that the modding community is a great band of people that want to share their labor with respect to each other. Thank you again for your mod and your wonderful attitude.

This mod plus the HK voice pack is SO unbelievably awesome! Sadly I think it conflicts with the [Legacy] Star Wars: Clone Pack in some way. Every time I turn the HK mod on, all the arms for the clones just disappear! I'm not especially gifted with solving these kinds of problems So for now I'm gonna have to pass on this which is a shame. Love this mod all the same though!

No, all my mods will need separate WOTC versions (although maybe the voice packs will work). Seeing as that requires a whole other 50GB SDK, it will be a while.

I didn't create the original assets. They are ported from SWTOR. I skinned the meshes to the X2 rig and modified the textures to conform to X2's PBR implementation (with a questionable level of success). I probably need to update them at some point, as I have learned a few things since I initially released this.

In terms of tools used, 3DS Max to skin the meshes (with various scripts to deal with importing both the SWTOR and Unreal Engine assets), Photoshop for texture manipulation, xNormal for creating new textures (like cavity and AO maps), and of course the X2 SDK.

If you dont mind my asking, what tool(s) did you use to make these skins? I have been starting to get into this side of modding, normally just the text based stuff, so I was curious what tool you use when creating these?

A cool total conversion mod idea came to mind that can't escape it, and I have no idea where should I put it so I decided to leave it as a comment here. So Star Wars total conversion set in the Old republic era, but before all that Knights of the Fallen Empire bullshit, or even the before the return of revan. So the player would take command of an elite unit of the Sith Imperial forces, and do tactical missions. Most of vanilla's mission types would work with this setting, unique ones can be made like "board this republic cruiser, take controll of the bridge". For the avenger a catchy name could be made up, than "state of the art sith mobile base" and there you go fits in the lore. Anyway, as I said I'll just leave it here, no idea on which forums could I make a suggestion like this. Also while I'm here, I realized that these models are ported from SWTOR. So might I ask, coulld you please port the various Sith trooper armors from the game?

Yes, LW2 rebels are not classed as civilians (or soldiers either, they are their own thing). They will get random head allocations from mods. You may want to try this - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=767471263

No, but it seems that LW2 recognizes the Rebels as soldiers, and was putting the invisible heads on them.

Maybe you should try reading the description. Add Part Names support is already integrated. And no, that will not change your problem. Your problem is other mods, it's not my problem to fix.

Sometimes you need to restart Steam to force it to download (although manual subbing should work instantly). I pushed an update today, which may have triggered it.

Hah yeah that was it, silly me. That's what I get for trying to save some RAM. Odd though, it took a while to redownload the mod files - I unsubbed and resubbed when I made the last comment and the changes only took place today.

Lol, yes, that would be highly relevant if you deleted this mod's content. You can unsubscribe and re-subscribe to this mod, which is probably the quickest way. You can also do a verify cache via the game's entry in your library, although this will re-download every file you have deleted or modified.

That might be it. I have a GeForce GTX960M 4 gb. My settings were medium-high, textures were set to maximum. Tried everything on max and still came out like that.

I'm also thinking I accidentally deleted some relevant texture files. Earlier I removed ModShaderCache.upk from a bunch of voice packs, might have deleted this mod's accidentally. Would that be relevant? If so, how do I go about redownloading the mod files?

That is the game's default material. It's a checkerboard pattern. Given the small number (looks like just 3 squares cover the body), I'm guessing you are running on low graphics settings? I would think the game is deciding that your settings are too low to support the proper textures (which is odd given that they are only 1024x1024 for 47 and 51 and should be scaled down as low as 256x256 by the game). What are your system specs and in-game graphics settings?

If you replace the entire contents of \steamapps\workshop\content\268500\808922116\Config\XComContent.ini with what I posted below, then that should remove the Set limitation from the various body parts.

Hi there, I was wondering whether it would be possible to enable the HK parts for regular soldiers? I understand that some of them already work this way, but the arms, despite being divided into left and right, always override one another. F.E. I have a regular soldier and I would just like to switch out his regular right arm for an HK one. Would something like this be possible?

Otherwise, this is amazing 10/10, works as intended :)
